Uorfi Javed has once again taken the internet by storm. However, this time it's not for her unique fashion looks but rather the buzz circulating online about her religion and identity. And now the social media star herself has reacted to the speculations, stating that she does not follow any religion.
Speculations about Uorfi Javed's identity and religion became a hot topic, after which the social media star issued a clarification about where she stands regarding certain beliefs. Uorfi's statement comes after social media influencer, Faizan Ansari claimed that Muslims had decided to remove Uorfi Javed from Islam and changed her name to 'Geeta Bharadwaj'. Reacting to this in an interview with IANS, Uorfi said the reports are baseless. She was quoted as saying:
"I myself left the religion long ago. Who is making these things up now? Who said this? There is no such report. They are making it up on their own. I don’t follow any religion. I am an atheist. So, where will you get me out of? How would you get somebody out of a place they don’t exist in the first place!"
It was earlier on Saturday, January 31, 2026, when social media influencer, Faizan Ansari stated that Uorfi Javed has been "expelled" from Islam and will now be called 'Geeta Bhardwaj'. The influencer made surprising claims in a video he shared on his social media account. Faizan further alleged that a decision had been taken by 'Muslims' to disassociate the social media influencer from the community following her constant insults to the community. He stated:
"Hello guys, how are you all? I am Faizan Ansari. There is a girl who is ruining the name of Muslims not only in India but across the world. She herself says that she does not believe in the Quran, she does not believe in Islam, and she does not believe in the Muslim religion. Her name was Muslim till now, Uorfi Javed. She is a very bad girl who has ruined the name of Muslims across the world, and every Muslim abuses her."
Faizan Ansari further shared that the Muslim community had made the unanimous decision that she was "not a Muslim anymore". He further revealed that he had been given a letter to the Maulana, the head of the All India Muslim community. He claimed that he did not seek permission from him but rather informed him that Uorfi Javed was not a Muslim anymore.
He went on to assert that Uorfi Javed had no connection to the Muslim community, and her new name was "Geeta Bhardwaj". In the video, Faizan Ansari further claimed that the decision was made with the approval of everyone in their community. He also alleged that he is attaching the letter to the video so that the information can reach as many people as possible. He added:
"All of us Muslims have taken this decision. I have given a written letter to the Maulana, and I am attaching it to this video. I will tweet this so the message reaches a worldwide audience. Please forward this so people know what happens if someone abuses the name of Muslims. From today, Uorfi Javed’s name is Geeta Bhardwaj. Please do not call her Uorfi Javed. She has no place in the Muslim community or society. For proof, I am attaching the letter. Thank you."
