The 33-year-old, who was found dead on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal, has been generating noise even after weeks of her passing. The reason is the bereaved family's allegations that severe dowry harassment, physical and mental torment by Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh pushed her to kill herself. Currently, both the accused are in judicial custody. Amid that, Giribala's claims regarding her daughter-in-law being missing days before her death surfaced.
Before Giribala Singh was detained, she shared with Mojo Story that Twisha Sharma went berserk upon learning of her pregnancy. Giribala alleged that Twisha blamed herself for doing something wrong and said, "The child is killing me." She was allegedly so mentally disturbed that she decided to visit her family the very next day. Samarth Singh's mother shared that she was fine with Twisha's decision and let her pack her bags to leave. However, after she left, Giribala alleged that she went completely unreachable.
Twisha's mother-in-law stated that she even called up her parents to ask about her whereabouts, and they knew nothing about it either. If this account is to be believed, Twisha didn't go directly from Bhopal to her parents' house. According to Giribala, her daughter-in-law stayed somewhere "in silence" and didn't want to contact anyone. Samarth's mom then claimed that after being missing for one whole day, she received a call from Twisha's parents the next day, confirming that she had stayed away on her own accord. Giribala's exact words were:
"She's not responding to any WhatsApp call...any text messages. She chose to just remain in silence...Next day, the mother acknowledged that yes she has not left because the ticket...it was not an open ticket she stayed in some place where she was not aware."
After Giribala managed to reach Twisha via phone call after she had been missing for a day, the former asked the latter if she didn't want to be with Samarth anymore. In response, Twisha replied that she had indeed gone out of reach, as she didn't want to be with Samarth. Giribala then, allegedly, told her that even then the door of her in-laws' house was open for her and she could even take their spare room downstairs if she wanted to avoid Samarth and didn't want to stay in his room. However, Twisha was allegedly still reluctant about returning to her in-laws' house. Recalling the tense situation, Giribala stated:
"Being here I [Giribala] said, 'Look if you do not be with Samarth'...She [Twisha] said, 'I don't want to be with him. I don't want my child. I don't want to do anything to do.'"
Giribala alleged that after Twisha visited her home for the last time, she didn't go to Bhopal directly; instead, she went to Nazirabad for reasons unknown. She allegedly wanted her husband, Samarth Singh to pick her up from there. Giribala further claimed that each time Twisha returned home, she would remain in a bad mood due to fights with her family.
During police interrogation regarding the mysterious death of Twisha Sharma, her husband, Samarth Singh was questioned regarding their final days. According to NDTV, he claimed that he booked their flight tickets to Bengaluru for April 24, 2026. However, a week before the trip, she allegedly had a sudden change of heart, and the trip never happened. She insisted on going to Ajmer to see her brother instead, leading to a big fight with Samarth. As per Twisha's husband, she made the decision after learning of her pregnancy on April 17, 2026.
