The storyline of Akshaye Khanna and Sunny Deol’s Ikka

Ikka is a powerful crime thriller that revolves around a highly celebrated lawyer named 'Arjun' (played by Sunny Deol). He is known for defending innocent people. Throughout his career, he has always stood by the truth and has never defended criminals. However, his life takes a U-turn, when he crosses paths with 'Shaurya' (played by Akshaye Khanna). He is accused of murdering a woman named 'Soma.'

'Shaurya' asks 'Arjun' to defend him. At first 'Arjun' is clear that he will not defend him as he is convinced that 'Shaurya' is a criminal. Things change when 'Arjun's' daughter, 'Samaira' falls sick and urgently needs a bone marrow transplant.

Her illness reveals a shocking truth: 'Samaira' is not 'Arjun's' biological daughter, in fact, 'Shaurya' is her father. He abandoned her. As soon as 'Shaurya' knows the truth, he agrees to help, but only after 'Arjun' defends her. Left with no option, 'Arjun' agrees to defend him, amid his unacceptable crime.

Who was ‘Soma’ and did ‘Arjun’ succeed in saving ‘Shaurya’?

The movie picks up pace when 'Arjun' starts investigating ‘Soma's' death. As per the same, 'Soma' had information that could expose the truth about 'Shaurya'. And soon after she became a threat, 'Shaurya' finished him. 'Shaurya' killed her in his car using his car keys. However, he perfectly hid the crime. And his wife, 'Gauri' helped him. 'Gauri' filed a fake assault case, to prove that he was at home when the murder happened.

At the courtroom, public prosecutor, 'Madhura' tries her best to prove 'Shaurya' is guilty. Even though she presents several arguments, 'Arjun' manages to outshine everyone. During the intense case, 'Madhura' even tries to call 'Gauri'; however, she doesn't help her. Instead of revealing the truth, 'Gauri' repeats the same fake story. Towards the end, 'Arjun' succeeds in proving that 'Sharuya' is innocent.
