Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleNitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: The Rise Of A Legend has been roaring at the box office. It was one of Bollywood's most anticipated projects, and the movie, which will be released in two parts, is said to have a budget of Rs. 4,000 crore. Part 1 is set for release in Diwali 2026, and Part 2 will hit the screens two years later. People who are in awe of the movie can't just wait any longer to witness 'Ram' saving his 'Sita' from 'Ravan's Lanka, and everything else the movie will have to offer.
Part 1 ended with 'Jatayu' informing 'Ram' that 'Sita' had been abducted by 'Ravan', while he breathed his last after his fight. The fight sequence between 'Jatayu' and 'Ravan' was one of the movie's major highlights, and it took 6.5 years to complete. The makers worked really hard over all these years, and as a result, they achieved the tag of the 'best' scene from the movie. Each of the actors did justice to their assigned roles, and silenced the criticism that had been there since the movie was announced.
Ranbir Kapoor played the role of 'Ram', while Sai Pallavi was seen as 'Sita'. 'Yash' was seen as 'Ravan', and his performance has been highly praised by the audience. While people were positive about Yash from the beginning, Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor faced criticism. Sai Pallavi kept getting flak for no reason, even though she is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses.
And if we talk about her role in Ramayana, it's true that no one could have done it better than Sai Pallavi, something that was said by her co-star, Dhanush. With her effortless beauty, calm screen presence, and natural grace, Sai Pallavi made the character feel alive, and while not everyone agrees, a certain section of netizens is in awe of her.
However, before the release of the movie, Sai Pallavi ended up sparking a debate amid criticism. She arrived at the LA premiere of the movie, and while giving a speech, she ended up saying that 'Ravan' is not all bad, something that people started picking on.
Sai Pallavi talked about finding the good and bad in one's own self, and trying to defeat the bad parts. She did say that 'Ravan' isn't all bad; however, she mentioned that people should see the 'Ravan' in them and try to make changes. The context was totally different, something that has been hinted at in Nitesh Tiwari's movie as well. In Sai Pallavi's words:
"At the same time, as a scripture, I think, if you are a believer, and you would see, try to introspect, and see what good and bad exists in you, and you learn to correct yourself over time. Because Ravana is not all bad. And it's important that we spot the Ravana in us, and we make changes over time."
As the statement spread on social media, people started slamming Sai Pallavi. However, some of Sai's fans defended her, stating that she wanted to say that people are made of good and bad. Meanwhile, criticism over her casting, which was already high, intensified after Sai's statement.
Some social media users said she shouldn't have made such a comment when she was already receiving flak. However, besides all the hate, Ranbir and Sai, both of the leads, have been widely praised by others as well. Both actors did proper justice to their respective roles, making the movie one of the most talked-about ones in recent times.
