Markwayne Mullin, who is now 48 years old, is from Westville, Oklahoma. He attended Stillwell High School and graduated from there. After this, he attended Missouri Valley College, and this was reportedly on a wrestling scholarship. Well, at the age of 20, he left his studies to look after his family's plumbing business, Mulin Plumbing. It was Markwayne's father who fell ill, and following this, Markwayne decided to look after the business.
It was the woman in Markwayne's life, Christi, who stood by his side, and together, they expanded the business, making it one of the largest plumbing service businesses in the region. Well, it's Christie who has been by Markwayne's side through thick and thin. She's not only his wife, but someone with whom Markwayne grew up.
Markwayne Mullin met his wife, Christie Mullin when he was a kid. The duo attended grad school together in Sitwell. Following this, they were also together during their high school, when they reportedly started dating. It was in 1997 that the couple took the plunge and got married. Soon after their marriage, Markwayne's father reportedly fell ill, which led the couple to postpone their degrees and look after the business, Mulin Pumbling. Their journey began when the company had just four employees, and they took it to new heights, where they had 300 employees working in the company.
Not only this, but before Markwayne entered politics, the couple also founded Mullin Environmental in 2003, which is an environmental and construction company that collaborates with government and private clients. The couple also founded Rowan's Steakhouse together. Not only these two, as per AFPI, Christie and Markwayne founded Mullin Properties and Mullin Ranch, where they manage cattle operations. Apart from being a mother, wife, and businesswoman, Christie is also a youth ministry sponsor at the Coweta Assembly of God Church. She also coaches girls' gymnastics, and leads self-defence classes for young women as a 2nd degree blackbelt in karate. She, along with her family, resides in a cow-calf ranch in Westville, Oklahoma.
Markwayne Mullin and Christie Mullin had a hardship when they decided to plan their family. The couple had to struggle for seven long years to get pregnant, given the reason that Christie had endometriosis, a condition where tissue, which has a similar lining to the uterus, grows on other parts of the body. Well, after seven long years of trying, Christie conceived, but she suffered a miscarriage. It was following this that Christie and Markwayne welcomed their first child, a son, Jim Mullin. Jim, the elder son of the couple, recently got married to his ladylove, Aubrey. Following Jim, Markwayne and Christie welcomed another son, Andrew and a daughter, Larra.
While Markwayne and Christie's family was complete, the latter wanted to adopt twins, Ivy and Lynette, who were born to her distant teenage cousin. Ivy and Lynette were living with their great aunts when, in 2012, Christie suggested to Markwayne that they should adopt them.

As per his site, they adopted a son, Jayce, who wrestled alongside their elder son, Jim, at OSU. In 2017, Jayce lost his biological father, when Markwayne and Christie decided to adopt him.
