PSG vs Arsenal have arrived at the finale of the UEFA Champions League, and fans cannot wait to see who will lift the trophy. Amid that, let's meet Arsenal's head coach, Mikel Arteta's wife.
PSG and Arsenal are locking horns in the battle for the best in the UEFA Champions League. The finale for the show began on May 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET, and both teams are in to put on their best show. Amid that, it's fair to say that a huge part of the credit goes to the man behind this year's Arsenal success so far, the head coach of the team, Mikel Arteta.
For the unversed, Mikel Arteta has been making headlines for his guidance and skills that have led the team to the UEFA Champions League final. As the coach guides the Arsenal towards the finish line, the fans have also grown curious about his personal life, including his wife and family. So, without any further delays, let's take a look at who Arteta's wife is.
Mikel Arteta has given his all to the game. After playing as a midfielder, navigating a fierce title challenge, and becoming the head coach of Arsenal, he has been on one rollercoaster of a journey. However, it's fair to say he couldn't have done it without his family's unwavering support. While Arteta shines on the field, even from the sidelines, in his personal life, the spotlight belongs to his beauty queen wife and their loving children. For the unversed, Arteta is married to Argentine-Spanish model, Lorena Bernal, who is one year his senior.
Lorena Bernal was born in South America before she moved to the Spanish coastal town of San Sebastian as a child. The same city in which Mikel Arteta grew up. As if fate was trying to keep them close as they grew individually, Bernal developed several skills, including fluency in Spanish, English, and French. She attended the French Lycée Français de Saint Sébastien in Spain and later studied at the Maurice Ravel School in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France.
She began her career in modelling at just seven years old, and with immense passion and dedication, she made a name for herself as she grew. By the age of 17, she had won the Miss Spain pageant, followed by her impeccable participation in Miss World the same year, where she finished in the top ten.
In 2002, Lorena Bernal met Mikel Arteta for the first time at a nightclub in their hometown, while the footballer was taking a break during his stint with Scottish outfit Rangers. They immediately felt sparks fly between them and eventually got married in 2010. As both of their careers continued to grow, Bernal recalled how they juggled life through their busy schedules in a conversation with Hello! She was quoted as saying:
"There isn't just one secret to our marriage, but I'd say it's important to understand and to accept that you're two individuals sharing a life, not completing each other. You're not there to teach them how to live; you're there to grow next to them and support their growth. But you need to accept that each person has their own rhythms, pace and journey, and that acceptance makes it amazing. When we have time together, we do pretty normal things, because our lives are the opposite of normal. So we go for a walk, or we sit and have coffee. Doing nothing together is beautiful."
Despite their busy schedules, family is extremely important to both Lorena Bernal and Mikel Arteta. The couple is parents to three beautiful sons, with their first son, Gabriel, being born in 2009, followed by their second son, Daniel, who was born in 2012, and their youngest, Oliver, born in 2015. Just like his father, Gabriel Arteta Bernal, the eldest of the trio, is already making waves after working his way into the Arsenal U18S setup. The 16-year-old winger has featured in four games in the U18 Prem since making his debut for the side against Reading.
