Patrick Clancy, after taking his extended leave from Microsoft, had signed up to run the Boston Marathon. It was on behalf of a children's medical charity, and he also began volunteering as a guide for blind runners. However, due to the ongoing case against Lindsay, Patrick was unable to make much time while dealing with the heartbreak.
Lindsay Clancy's ex-spouse, Patrick, was trying to rebuild his life, while on the other hand, he was also managing to defend Lindsay's mental health struggles. When Lindsay took the lives of their kids, Patrick was working at Microsoft.
The tech executive's job involved working both from home and from the office, according to the publication. Patrick had to travel for his work to sell software. Right before Lindsay killed their kids, Patrick in November 2022 had made business trips to San Francisco and New York City. He had also reportedly taken one of his children, Cora, with him on one of his trips.
For the unversed, Cora was five, Dawson was three, and Callan was eight months old at the time of their demise. For any father, explaining the loss of his kids is heartbreaking. He, too, dreaded explaining what took place. Patrick had shared that he went out of the house in Duxbury on January 24, 2023, to pick up his kids' medicines.
He had also gone to collect a takeout dinner order. When he came back after an hour, Patrick found his wife, Lindsay, unconscious in their backyard. She had cut her neck and wrists and had jumped from the bedroom window. Lindsay strangled her kids in the basement. That night, Cora and Dawson were declared dead.
Callan was airlifted to a hospital, but the child passed away after a few days. Pat sometimes used to say that he has three kids but "they are deceased".
Speaking about Pat, he grew up in a Catholic family on Massachusetts South Shore. It is also known as the Irish Riviera. His relatives have always called him a gentle person who never liked getting angry. His mother, speaking about him, said:
"Pat doesn’t like to be angry. He doesn’t like hostility. He’s always been that type, since he was very little, to just give the benefit of the doubt.”
Patrick then studied business at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. He had started working at a telecommunications company located in Boston. It was in 2013 when Patrick met Lindsay, who was a nursing student.
Lindsay was 22 when she met Patrick, and her best friend had said she was looking for a good family man. The ex-pair had gone to fly a kite during their first date. Patrick's family had described her as sweet but a little quiet. They did not have any bumps in the road during their relationship.
