The Indian actress, who works in the Bollywood and South Indian film industries, has shown a noticeably different appearance in recent years compared to her 2018 debut with Dhadak. Many speculated that Janhvi got breast augmentation, lip fillers, and some other procedures done.
Janhvi didn't address all those claims, but recently admitted to one minor facial restructuring procedure. She further stated that her mother, Sridevi had a strong reaction to her cosmetic enhancement and linked it to her 'potential' to enter the world of movies.
Janhvi Kapoor opened up about undergoing a cosmetic procedure and revealed how her late mother, actress Sridevi, reacted to it. In a candid conversation with her maternal cousin, actress Maheswari, Janhvi recalled when she first told her mother about wanting to be an actress. She said that Sridevi was initially not sure whether Janhvi was cut out for acting. As per Janhvi, "She said, 'Okay, but then you have to give your life to it.'"
Maheswari then recalled Sridevi speaking to her about Janhvi's career plans. "Jaanu wants to be in films, but I'm not very keen because it's a lot of hard work, a lot of dedication, and you have to be really strong to get in there," she remembered Sridevi saying. However, the legendary star reportedly changed her mind after Janhvi got a nose job done.
It is unclear whether the reason for Sridevi initially not being enthusiastic about Janhvi joining the film industry was partly the latter's looks. However, Jahnvi hinted a bit about it when she brought up her mother's experience with cosmetic surgery and stated, "Even Mumma. That was the shift in all of our lives." Before making these candid revelations, Jahnvi suggested Maheswari cut the part out; however, it made it into the final video. In her words:
"I think maybe you should cut this out, but I think before I did my nose, she was unsure. She was like, 'I don't think it's…' After I did my nose, she's like, 'Yeah, there's potential'," she said.

During Khushi Kapoor's January 2025 chat on Curly Tales with host Kamiya Jani, she discussed several aspects of her life. One of them was her confession about getting cosmetic procedures done. The actress, when asked about her social media confession regarding getting a nose job and lip fillers, stated:
"I don't think it's such a big deal. I feel like this term 'plastic plastic'. People think it's the biggest insult you can give someone."
Previously, in August 2024, Khushi Kapoor confessed to having gone under the knife on Instagram. The actress reacted to an old video of her and admitted she has had cosmetic procedures. In the video, she is seen as a kid coming to an event with her mother and late actress Sridevi, with a video of her making an entry for the premiere of her first film, The Archies.
A user commented on the post, "I'll be honest, Khushi looks so similar to how she used to look. Like it genuinely just looks like she lost weight." Another wrote, "THANK YOU. She was 12 here, and she also just got braces, lip fillers, and that was that." Khushi replied to the comment and penned, "@archivekhushii lip filler and (nose emoji) hahaha."
