Jack Avery slammed ex-girlfriend, Gabbie Gonzalez's latest attempt to reconnect with their daughter. As reported by TMZ, Jack is happy that there is a criminal protective order that blocks her from having any contact with their daughter. According to the court documents, obtained by TMZ, the singer filed a response that opposed Gabbie's request for visitation and video calls with their daughter, who is now seven years old.
Jack revealed that their daughter is currently happy, healthy, and thriving in his care and is also going to school. She has started spending time with friends and taking part in extracurricular activities. Jack stated that his daughter is finally at peace after living in fear since learning about the alleged plot. He argued that Gabbie's visit back into Lavender's life could disrupt her stability.
Jack has all the support from his girlfriend, Alexis Abner, and Shelly Woodcox, who briefly fostered Lavender after Gabbie's arrest. Initially, Lavender blamed Jack for her mother's arrest and refused to speak to him, thinking it was his fault. Shelly revealed that Gabbie had been saying negative things about Jack around their daughter.
Alexis also claimed that she had personally heard Gabbie making negative remarks about Jack in their daughter's presence. She expressed her worries that the renewed contact could cause Lavender more confusion and emotional distress.
Jack shared that there is no emergency that requires them to change the current setup, especially since their custody case is headed for trial on October 20, 2026, and October 21, 2026. He also claimed that Gabbie is trying to hijack the trial without showing Lavender is in any danger, and wants the judge to deny her request for reconnection.
This legal battle started four months after Gabbie was arrested, and authorities stated she was involved in a murder-for-hire plot targeting Jack. Not only that, but Gabbie's father was also involved in the conspiracy. However, she has pleaded not guilty in the matter.
