According to the 82-year-old’s co-producer, Fernando Perdomo, she could have been missing for over eight months now. Amid the news of Linda's disappearance, many have become curious about her personal life and whether she was married or not.
According to reports, Linda Perhacs got married once in her life, and she has admitted that her husband helped her in her art. During a 2017 interview, Linda mentioned that her husband was an artist who introduced her to great painters like Rembrandt and Vincent Van Gogh. While she credited him for widening her perspective on art, Linda also claimed that the marriage was not without its ups and downs.
According to Linda, she began taking guitar lessons when her marriage began going downhill. This was for her own artistic fulfillment. She explained:
"Being married to a very highly creative artist, I began to be introduced to Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Picasso, things I'd never been exposed to before. He opened me to the art world, and then when the marriage became very uncomfortable to me, I said, 'Go take some guitar lessons, Linda, have something that's your very own.'"
However, the one good thing that came out of this was that Leonard Rosenman asked Linda to let him hear her songs. She recalled, “And within just weeks or a couple of months, I got this comment from Leonard Rosenman in my dental office, ‘Let me hear your songs.’ I could probably only play four cords at the time.”
Eventually, Linda Perhacs’ marriage to her artist husband came to an end. While Linda did date after her divorce, there are no records that suggest she ever decided to remarry. Speaking about what it means to leave a relationship, the musician said:
“Sometimes it’s not a selfish reason for leaving. You’re leaving because you need to grow in an area where your mate refuses to allow growth in himself or in you. In other words, there’s a door that the mate doesn’t want to open, is not comfortable going into, and yet you know you need to go there. The reason I had to leave the marriage is to pursue a spiritual study that I came to earth to pursue, and that’s why I had to leave.”
The issue regarding Linda Perhacs first came to notice when her former manager Laurel Stearns said that she was released from a care facility about eight months ago through her legal guardian. Since then, Linda’s friends and collaborators, like her co-producer Fernando Perdomo, have been trying to reach out to her but to no avail.
In an interview, Fernando confessed that his biggest fear right now is that Linda may have been dropped off on the street somewhere. Giving more details, he said that he had last seen her in the healthcare facility at her 80th birthday party in September 2024. When Fernando contacted the care facility where Linda was staying, the staff told him that they wouldn't be able to disclose the address where the musician had moved. He added:
“The only thing they could say is that they don't allow anybody to get checked out who doesn't have a proper place to live. But that could mean anything.”
At present, Fernando is trying to locate Linda Perhacs on his own as well as through the police. However, he has had no luck so far.
