According to the official report from the Greenville County Coroner's Office in South Carolina, Hayden's death was accidental and was caused by a lethal combination of substances, including fentanyl.
There had been no sign of foul play in Hayden Panettiere's death. However, following Hayden's death, Brian Hickerson has faced numerous questions. First, their tumultuous relationship drew attention, and reports that the actress was last seen with him sparked widespread discussion. Hayden's on-again and off-again boyfriend has not been doing well since his girlfriend's death. Amid this, a recent report revealed the frantic response at the scene where Hayden was found unconscious.
ABC obtained the 911 audio from the Greenville, South Carolina, apartment, where the caller could be heard saying, "Oh, god, oh, my god -- do you do CPR or something?" The caller could be heard saying, "[I] walked in after church to my brother and his girlfriend's apartment, and he woke up, and his girl ... she's unconscious."
The operator asked the caller if the unconscious individual was breathing, and the caller replied, "No, I don't think so." After this, the responder guided the caller to perform CPR until they could reach the location.
For the unversed, the voice recording aligned with what Brian Hickerson's brother, Zach, had earlier revealed. After Hayden's death, Zach took to his social media handle and revealed that he was invited to Brian and Hayden's place, and when they arrived, both of them were napping. Zach and Brian tried to wake Hayden up; however, she didn't respond, which eventually led the brothers to call 911. After the emergency team arrived, Hayden was pronounced dead at around 2:32 p.m.
Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach, have grabbed attention ever since Hayden's demise. It was only a few days ago that Zach was arrested at a club after an altercation there. It was a few weeks ago that a celebration of life was held for Hayden, and Zach and Brian were not present.
Speaking of the snub, the source revealed that the Hickerson brothers weren't upset about this and understood why they were not invited, while hoping for a beautiful memorial for the actress.
According to the same source, Hayden's on-again and off-again beau was not doing well both physically and emotionally. He reportedly was not able to process the entire incident, and he didn't have much sense of normalcy, as shared by the source.
Both Zach and Brian were in shock; however, the latter kept on hoping that everything would turn out to be a dream, and he would find his girl by his side after waking up from his nightmare. The sources further revealed that Brian kept thinking that Hayden would call him. He reportedly lost 40 pounds since Hayden's passing and has been struggling.
