Right After Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone Chooses To Be A Sabyasachi Bride

The highlight of the most-talked-about wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma was nothing but Anushka’s wedding outfits. From her mehendi ceremony and engagement to her wedding and two receptions, the mastermind behind her gorgeous avatars is none other than ace fashion designer of Bollywood, Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The rumours were that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were getting engaged on their vacation in Sri Lanka. The couple also celebrated Deepika’s 32nd birthday there. Whenever, wherever and to whoever Deepika gets married to, she wants to be a Sabyasachi bride. During an episode of Vogue BFFs which featured Deepika with sister Anisha Padukone, Deepika expressed her desire to wear Sabyasachi for her wedding.

The Padmavat (formerly Padmavati) actress was asked which designer she would like to pick to design her wedding ensemble – Manish Malhotra or Sabyasachi Mukherjee. While we assumed she would have picked the former, but she chose the latter instead. Seems like, after Virushka’s wedding Sabyasachi is now the favourite of all brides-to-be! In another segment on Vogue BFFs, Scary Spice or Platter of Punishment, Neha Dhupia asked Deepika to complete the sentence “Ranveer, stop doing”. To which, Deepika instantly replied, "Stop doing outrageous clothes."

Earlier, in an interview with a leading fashion magazine, when Deepika was asked if she is planning to settle down in 2018, the actress revealed, "I can't put a year to it. Honestly, I've never been able to do anything that is time bound. I believe relationships have their way of unfolding. As far as my equation with him is concerned, I am sure that will unfold in its own manner. I can't wait to be a homemaker. Because from the time I was a little girl, I've always wanted to be that. I've always wanted to start a family."

Deepika also revealed some unsaid feelings about the love of her life. She talked about the best thing about Ranveer’s company, and said, "When we're with each other, we don't need anything or anyone else. We're comfortable in each other's presence. Sometimes it's intelligent conversation, sometimes just silence, sometimes there's a childlike innocence. We keep each other grounded. We are good in that sense."

Another update on her rumoured wedding is that Ranveer and Deepika have bought a luxurious bungalow in a posh are in Goa. The source shared, “A luxury residence has been recently picked up by the two jointly, in the same area that also has Raghuram Rajan and Sunil Gavaskar’s homes.” Deepika also received some special gifts from her alleged in-laws on her birthday on January 5, 2018. A source can be quoted as saying, “Deepika was gifted an expensive diamond set and a Sabyasachi sari by Ranveer’s family. Her happiness knew no bounds. This was indeed a special occasion for the actress.”

Professionally, Deepika and Ranveer will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2018.
