Amid the ongoing speculations regarding their separation, Dalljiet Kaur and her second husband, Nikhil Patel allegedly shared cryptic posts on their respective social media handles.
Television actress, Dalljiet Kaur was previously married to actor, Shalin Bhanot, and they were blessed with a son, Jaydon. However, after being married for a few years, they got separated, and Dalljiet opened up in several interviews about the physical turmoil she went through in their relationship. They then got divorced in 2015. Afterwards, on March 18, 2023, Dalljiet tied the knot with Nikhil Patel, and also accepted his two daughters, Aariyana and Aanika, from his previous marriage.
However, for a few days, rumours have been going on in the media that troubles hit the paradise of Dalljiet Kaur and her second husband, Nikhil Patel's marriage. Amid the ongoing speculations regarding their separation, Nikhil took to his IG stories on May 24, 2024, and shared a mirror selfie of himself. Apart from his gym athleisure, Nikhil was also seen wearing a leather belt to tighten his waist. Atop the video, he also shared a screenshot from the Whoop readings, a unique wearable fitness device that continuously monitors heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen levels, and many other things. Moreover, she penned a note atop it, which can be read as:
"You make me better!"

Soon after this, Dalljiet Kaur reshared Nikhil Patel's IG story and also pointed out the 'SN initials' mentioned at the same. Dalljiet then wrote, "Let's see what the fuss is all about! SN." Moreover, the actress mentioned, "Atleast you should have left your wife little dignity publically, as I was quiet about a lot of other things, too." Afterwards, with block letters, Dalljiet clearly added the alleged reasons behind her separation. Not only this, Dalljiet also initiated a poll on her IG story about whose fault it is in a marriage to get broken. She penned:
"You are out on social media with her now everyday shamelessly. Your wife and son came back in 10 months of the wedding. The entire family is humiliated. Some dignity for the kids would have been good."
On March 5, 2024, Dalljiet Kaur took to her Instagram stories and shared her first picture amidst divorce speculations. In the picture, we could see Dalljiet wearing a white-hued saree with polka dots. She teamed it with a bralette-style blouse, chunky oxidised necklace, and matching earrings. Subtle makeup, a black bindi, and hair left open completed her look. Atop it, Dalljiet wrote:
"Back on stage with puffy eyes."

Earlier, according to a report by ETimes, a source close to the estranged couple, Dalljiet and Nikhil claimed that they started facing trouble soon after their marriage and they realised that they were 'incompatible'. The insider told the news portal that separation would be the only option if they failed to sort out their differences. The insider further claimed that their situation worsened in the last two months. The source was quoted as saying:
"Initially, everything seemed fine in their marriage, but it was short-lived. Problems cropped up between the couple soon after. Dalljiet and Nikhil realised they were incompatible. The situation worsened in the last two months. If problems persist, separation might be the only option."
