The family is devastated and has requested privacy in these painful and trying times, which no parent should ever go through. Presley confessed to his struggle with addiction and his mental health. He openly discussed seeking treatment for the same.
Cindy Crawford had posted a beautiful photo of her son, Presley Gerber, just two months before his passing. She shared an unseen photo of her son when he was a little boy. The post was dated July 2, 2026, in which she expressed how he had turned into a man she is extremely proud of. She also mentioned that in her eyes he would always be her 'little boy'. She wrote:
"Happy birthday @presleygerber. I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy! Love you."
Not only that, Cindy always rooted for Presley in all the events, even when he was receiving treatment for substance use. At the time, Presley shared how letting go of control wasn't easy for him, but he trusted the process, thinking that something bigger was guiding him. He faced what he was running away from.
Cindy also commented on her son's post and called him a warrior. She stated that he had walked through the fire to find himself, and she was proud of him. She wrote, "You are a warrior! Walked through the fire to find yourself! So proud!" Her daughter, Kaia Gerber, also stood with her brother, Presley, and revealed that she was "damn proud" of him.
Netizens on Reddit also penned their support for Cindy and shared tributes for Presley. One user wrote that he had grown up with Persley and recalled that he was a sweet child but had battled some serious demons, "He was such a sweet kid I grew up with him... and he battled some serious demons. Not everything is what it seems on the outside. This is heartbreaking."
Another user penned, "I met him and his sister, as well as Cindy, for a shoot a little more than 10 years ago. I think he was just about to get his first car, IIRC. He seemed like such a sweet kid who loved classic rock at the time. Crazy. Cindy was such a doting mother, too. I can't imagine."
A third user commented, "This is horribly sad, I’m shocked. It seems like he was troubled. He got that face tattoo “misunderstood” and later had it removed. From the outside, it seems as though he would have everything a person could want, but no one could see his inner battles. Poor soul, how awful for his family as well."
Before Presley's death, his sister, Kaia, talked about her brother's long battle with addiction. She discussed that their family hoped and prayed for Presley and how he had dealt with a decade-long struggle with addiction, while she was finding her own identity. She added that a situation like that affected the entire family. That's when she decided to be the easy child for the family and avoided asking for help.
Kaia also revealed that the family has always lived a private life, but Presley chose to be open and talk about his struggles in public, and he taught them a lesson that suppressing something could make the person feel as though their family is ashamed of them.
