'Anupamaa' fame, Adrija Roy exchanged rings with Vignuesh Iyer. She dropped the first-ever glimpse from the low-key ceremony!
Anupamaa fame, Adrija Roy, got engaged to the love of her life, Vignuesh Iyer. For the last few days, reports have been rife that the actress would soon exchange rings with the love of her life. Adrija Roy recently grabbed the attention with her role as 'Raahi' in the movie, Anupamaa. After making her debut in the Bengali serial Bedini Moluar Kotha, Adrija began showcasing her skills across Hindi television. She was seen in Imlie and later in Anupamaa, where she grabbed attention with her role. Well, now the actress has geared up in her personal life, as she recently got engaged to the love of her life, Vignuesh Iyer.
Taking to her IG handle, Adrija Roy shared a series of photos from her engagement. The actress shared how her love story began with a simple hello and ended up being a sacred love. The actress, on her IG handle, announced her engagement, and in the glimpses, she was seen wearing a red-toned Kanjivaram saree. She teamed her saree with temple jewels, and finalised her look with sheen makeup and braided hairstyle, adorned with gajra.
Vignuesh, on the other hand, looked handsome in a blue-toned kurta, which he teamed with a white dhoti. The duo looked so in love as they exchanged rings to seal their love into a forever journey. The glimpses of the ceremony were simply heartmelting and it was another Bengali X South Indian story, bound by love, respect and peace. Sharing the beautiful photos, Adrija penned:
"Engaged to the love I prayed for. From a simple hello, to a sacred promise — my heart feels home. I love you My Love @vignuesh1."
While nothing in detail is known about Adrija and Vigunesh's love story, it was reported that the couple first met at a party in 2025, and following this, they started talking on Instagram. The duo clicked instantly and found they shared the same qualities and that their personalities matched well. The couple soon planned their first date for June 2025, and within a few months, they decided to spend the rest of their lives together, prompting them to seal the deal with a low-key engagement that reportedly took place on January 25, 2026, at Vignuesh's farmhouse.
Reportedly, Vignuesh is based out of Mumbai and owns a farm. It was the duo's love for animals that helped them connect even on a deeper level. While Adrija has a deep love for animals, Vignuesh owns a farm, and this invisible thread made their connection even stronger. In an interview, Adrija reportedly revealed that she and Vignuesh actually share similar traits and complement each other's personalities.
Adrija was speculated to be dating Krushal Ahuja. While their relationship was much-talked about one in the Bengali television industry, they tried to keep things private. In an interview with Balaji Telefilms in 2024, Adrija opened up about her breakup and, without naming her ex, said it was a four-year-long relationship, and that person was the one she really loved, but he was not happy. She further mentioned how attached she was to him and how hard the breakup was, but it's done. She said:
"Matlab he was not happy, he just said that. He did not say this exactly but baad mein jaa kar cheeze pata chali. Aisa nahi hai ke logo ko nahi pata hai ke kaun hai, ya fans ko nahi pata hai, bas main naam nahi lena chahti. Baat ab puri tarah bandh hogayi, but after breakup ek do mahine baat hui thi. It was a 4 year relationship and it was not easy for me."
