Alia Bhatt is busy channelling herself into an action heroine, and her look in the 'Alpha' teaser is being loved by all. But fans missed Sharvari and questioned her absence.
Alpha's recent teaser has been loved by the internet. It shows Alia Bhatt's transformation from 'Sita' to Alpha, and was groomed by 'Fateh', played by Bobby Deol. He raises her to become a deadly assassin, and the trailer shows how 'Sita' turned against her own father. However, Sharvari Wagh's absence from the trailer raised a lot of question, but Alia silenced it in a sweet yet dramatic way.
Days after Sharvari's absence from the teaser of Alpha left her fans infuriated, Alia took a dig at it with a cheeky post. On June 17, 2026, Alia took to her Instagram handle and posted a cutesy photo with Sharvari. The two leading ladies were dressed up in a white-hued t-shirt with 'Alpha' written on it. Subtle makeup and hair left open completed the two's look. Sharing the photo, Alia wrote, "Where is Sharvari?" Reacting to the post, Sharvari quickly responded:
"Preeessseeeenttt miss."
Sharvari styled her t-shirt with blue jeans, while Alia wore black shorts. In another photo, the two were seen hugging each other, proving that there is no rivalry between the two. In another photo, Alia and Sharvari were seen goofing around. For those who don't know, Alpha is directed by Shiv Rawail, who is the man behind the famous Netflix series The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984.
Alpha's trailer started with a baby standing behind a glass shield, and 'Fateh', played by Bobby Deol, named her 'Sita'. The trailer further shows how he trained her to become a ruthless assassin, slashing people and targets with just one quick command. Alia's voiceover revealed that a demon abducted a princess; this time, there is no 'Ram' to save her from Lanka, and she herself has to burn it down.
In the end, we see Hrithik Roshan's green eyes at the end of the trailer. As per speculations, Hrithik will help Alia and Sharvari on their mission, and his cameo is much anticipated by his die-hard fans. Bobby Deol portrays the character of a ruthless mentor to Alia's character, and how he turned her into something else. He raised Alia as someone who has been raised to kill those who go against her mentor. In one scene, Alia's line leaves a deep impact as she says:
"Sita aaj Lanka khud jalane aayi hai."
However, the trailer received mixed reactions from the audience. One user wrote, "2 minutes of silence for those who thought it was a 2-heroine film and who were expecting Shravari's teaser as the Second kill said it all. I will try my best to show myself superior and cut Shravari's scenes, even though this is visible in the #AlphaTrailer too." Another one commented, "Why are they wearing caps instead of helmets? And if it's raining that badly, why is she not wearing anything? Aditya Dhar shall be punished for raising our standards."
A third user penned, "#Alpha trailer looks cringe. YRF's Same rogue RAW agent plot. #AliaBhatt’s physique didn’t match with action scenes, #Sharvari is wasted; Hrithik is overrated. Bandra-Juhu Bollywood can't manufacture the raw, unhinged energy Ranveer Singh had in Dhurandhar. #Alpha Trailer is below average. It looks like an Extended version of a teaser with no proper setup, and again, here Sharvari got sidelined. The story is predictable, and the trailer has the same action as any other Action movie. No Expectations Now #Alphatrailer #Aliabhatt."
What do you think about Alia Bhatt's way of silencing the trolls questioning Sharvari's absence?
