From confessing about her divorce decision to accepting that she is bisexual, it takes a lot of courage to show the real self, and she has been doing it without any filters. Recently, she was eliminated from Lock Upp 2, and during a press conference, she revealed whether her divorce buzz with Gaurav was just for TRP.
The news about Akanksha and Gaurav's separation left many talking. People formed judgments, and many wondered if it was all for increasing TRP for the show, but Akanksha gave a befitting reply. Akanksha clarified that their legal teams are already talking about the separation, and they are just sorting out things.
Akanksha added that they are indeed getting a divorce and they just have to sign the papers. In a video shared by Viral Bhayani, Akanksha chose a gorgeous pink-hued floral dress. She looked gorgeous and gave a fiery response to the question of whether the divorce revelation was for TRP. She said:
"Mujhe nahi lagta koi bhi ladki itne bade platform par jaa kar bolegi ki mai apne pati se divorce le rahi hoon. Mai apne baare mein kuch bhi nai bol sakti ap mere ghar par aaye or meri legal team se baat ki jiye. Ab mai bahar aayi hoon; hum is baare mein baat kar rahe hai."
Akanksha added that before entering the show, they were talking about the divorce, and it had already been processed. She was quoted as saying:
"Or Lock Upp mein jaane se pehle bhi hum is par baat kar rahe the. It's just that we have to sign the papers. But ye in already process ho chuka hai, toh ye koi TRP ki le nahi hai. Just like hume shaadi bhi kar rahe the tab bhi logo ko lag raha tha yeh publicity ke liye hai. Just because hum actors hain, her kuch camera ke liye nahi hota."
For the unversed, at the premiere of Lock Upp 2, the hosts asked Akanksha to reveal a big secret, and the actress confessed that she and Gaurav are heading for divorce. She further revealed that the two have been living separately for the past one year and had kept the matter extremely private. She said:
"This is a decision we have both taken. We have been talking about it for the past year. There is nothing bad between Gaurav and me. We still talk to each other, but we feel that we are not right for each other as partners. That is because we both want different things in life."
Gaurav and Akanksha got married in 2016. The two had been dating each other for a few years before tying the knot. They were one of the most-loved couples, but things seemed to have turned sour after Gaurav mentioned on national television during his stint in Bigg Boss 19 that Akanksha wasn't ready to have children while he wanted to.

Days after Akanksha announced that her personal life had hit a rough patch on Lock Upp 2, Gaurav also broke his silence on the matter. Gaurav was seen at an event, wherein he talked about the divorce. Meanwhile, Akanksha's father also slammed Gaurav for bringing their personal decision of not having children on national TV and making Akanksha look like a villain. Gaurav, at an event, stated that he was doing well, and stated that Akanksha is still his wife, and his love for her is still the same.
