Vikrant Massey has emerged as one of the prominent stars in the Indian entertainment industry. His 2023 film, 12th Fail, increased his popularity by manifolds. Vikrant first stepped into the world of glamour with television. He has worked in popular serials such as Dharam Veer, Balika Vadhu, and Qubool Hai. After his stint in TV, he ventured into Hindi cinema and his impeccable acting skills made him a fan favourite. In his personal life, the actor is happily married to Sheetal Thakur, and the couple just welcomed their first child on February 7, 2024.
Recently, Vikrant Massey had an interaction with Samdish on his YouTube show, Unfiltered by Samdish. The duo divulged details about the actor’s personal and professional life. During the conversation, Vikrant shared how he met his wife, Sheetal Thakur, and their budding love story. He said:
“Hum Bombay mein mile they. We met through a common friend, pata nahi isko bhi log galat sense mein le sakte hai ki mera ek dost that yaar toh wo aaya mujhse milne bola ki ‘bhai badi sundar ladki mili hai yaar, mera dil aa gaya uss par, main milwana chahta hun aapko usse, aap miloge toh meri setting karwa dena.’ Bas wo bhaiyya ke ghar leke aaya aur bhaiyya ko pyaar ho gaya.”

Further into the conversation, Samdish questioned if Vikrant fell for Sheetal in their first meeting. To this, the actor mentioned that it was love at third sight. The host asked if that friend, who first fell for Sheetal is still friends with Vikrant or not. The 12th Fail actor said that his friend is happily married and they are indeed in touch with each other. Vikrant said:
“Love at third sight. Teesre din hi. Wo dost abhi bhi dost hai, uski bhi shaadi ho gayi hai, wo bhi bohot khush hai, accha dost hai. Bohot guilt hua pehle ek der mahine. He was interested in her, and company dene ke liye usne mujhe phone kiya aur de di maine company.”
During the same conversation, Vikrant Massey revealed that his now-wife, Sheetal, said something during the initial days of their dating phase which scared him. He disclosed that Sheetal had this feeling that Vikrant would become the father of her kids. The actor said:
“She (Sheetal) said something scary then. But thodi uss waqt phaati, but then pyaar vyaar ho chuka tha, she said something very beautiful. I think my wife is gonna kill me for this. She’s like, ‘Pata nahi Vikrant, jab maine tumhe dekha tha na, pata nahi mere mann mein se ye awaaz aayi thi ki mere bacchon ka baap banega toh yahi banega, I saw the father of my kids in you.’ Aur tab se leke aaj tak, sach mein ab uske bacche ka baap banne wala hun.”

While Samdish and Vikrant were having a conversation, the former asked about the actor’s relationship with money. Vikrant said that it all started with the lack of money, and went on to explain the reason behind it. The actor then revealed that he earned a lot while he was working for TV serials, and he bought his first home at the age of 24, but he was not able to sleep peacefully. And then he realised that he wanted to restart his career in films. Vikrant said:
“Ek 24 saal ke ladke ke liye 35 lakh rupay mahina bohot hota hai, aur ek aise ladke ke liye jiske ghar mein 15 din father ki salary chalti thi aur 16 din se crisis management shuru ho jata tha. 35 lakh rupay mahine ka contract tha mera haath mein. I left it, paise se neend to nahi aa rahi, ab accha kaam kar ke sukoon dhoondne ki kosish karenge.”
Vikrant Massey recalled how his life partner, Sheetal helped him while he was auditioning for cinemas. He said that she used to give him pocket money to go to auditions as he exhausted all his savings. He said:
“My savings got exhausted in a year and a half, tab Sheetal thi mere saath, to 4-5 mahine unhone mujhe film auditions pe jaane ke liye pocket money wo deti thi.”
