Taking to his IG handle, Rashmika Mandanna's rumoured beau, Vijay Deverakonda reshared a post from a news outlet that featured the news of the government cracking down on deepfake after Rashmika Mandanna's video went viral. Sharing the post, Vijay penned a note and said it's an extremely important step for the future. He also suggested an efficient, accessible cyber wing for quick crackdowns and punishments. Vijay wrote:
"Extremely important steps for the future. This shouldn’t happen to anyone. Also, an efficient accessible cyber wing for quick crackdowns and punishment will make people more secure."

It was on November 6, 2023, when a video featuring Rashmika Mandanna's face made rounds on social media. In the video, a woman with Rashmika's face could be seen getting on a lift while wearing a fitted top. For the unversed, in this video, artificial intelligence was used to replace the original person's face with Rashmika's. Soon after that, Rashmika took to her IG handle and revealed her side of the story. The actress mentioned that she is deeply hurt by witnessing such misuse of the technology. She also thanked her fans, family, and supporters for being there with her. Amitabh Bachchan also reacted to the same and even asked for legal action.
It's been a long time since Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's dating rumours have been doing rounds on the internet. Although neither Rashmika nor Vijay ever accepted being in a relationship with each other, the way they turn into each other's cheerleaders and support each other keeps fueling their dating rumours.
