Vedang Raina also hailed as 'young Ranveer Singh', rose to fame with Zoya Akhtar's movie, The Archies. His performance in the movie as 'Reggie Mantle' grabbed a lot of attention. The Archies featured several star kids from Bollywood, such as Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, and Boney Kapoor's daughter, Khushi Kapoor. However, the three-star kids faced a lot of criticism even before their film was released. Now Vedang addressed the same and opened up about how such a situation affected the cast of The Archies.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vedang Raina opened up about the criticism that Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, and Suhana Khan have faced even before stepping into Bollywood. The young actor said that they were well aware of the fact that coming from a certain background and legacy brings a lot of baggage. Talking more about the same, Vedang stated that for Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi, the criticism was way too rough, and they faced it at a very young age. Talking more about the same, Vedang said:
"We always understood it as a group that there’s a certain baggage you bring when you come from a certain legacy. For the three of them, obviously, it is rough. They were getting criticism even before the film had come out and before anything at all. They have faced it from very young age. I just think that it comes with a space and you can’t really do much about it.”

In the same interview, Vedang Raina shared that people have their own opinions and are going to say things no matter what, but what actors and actresses have to do is be thick-skinned. Talking more about the acting profession, Vedang revealed how others always scrutinise the lives of actors and actresses and judge them for their performances. Speaking along the same lines, Vedang said:
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and people are always going to say things and you need to decide what you are going to let in and what you are going to keep out. I think it is important to be thick-skinned as an actor because criticism is a part of the job. There are so many eyes on you. It’s not like other fields and the public is watching you and they are gauging what you are doing and are judging your performances. So, it comes with a territory and people are going to say things. You just need to be thick-skinned, keep going and keep improving.“
Soon after The Archies was launched, netizens started sharing their opinions. Moreover, on Reddit, netizens started discussing Suhana Khan's performance in the movie. Although, the Bollywood stars said sweet words for all the debutants and the storyline of the movie on its special screening, a certain section of netizens remained unimpressed about the movie and the performances.
For the unversed, Vedang Raina has been speculated to be dating his co-star, Khushi Kapoor. The rumoured couple often gets spotted together on several occasions. However, it was during one of his interviews with Times Now that Vedang was asked about his dating rumours with Khushi. To this, the young actor said that he and Khushi are connected on so many levels. He also added that he and Khushi share similar tastes in music. Talking more about the ongoing rumours, Vedang stated that although he has a strong bond with the diva, they aren't dating and he is single.

On the other hand, Khushi Kapoor recently graced the popular chat show, Koffee With Karan 8, with her sister, Janhvi Kapoor. When Karan Johar asked her about her dating rumours with Vedang, Khushi avoided the question tactfully and seemingly confirmed the same. The actress used a famous dialogue from Om Shanti Om. Khushi can be heard saying:
"You know that scene in Om Shanti Om where there’s a row of people just saying, ‘Om and I were just good friends?."
