Telly world’s most favourite “maa”- Divyanka Tripathi aka Ruhi’s Ishi Maa has let go of her single status. After months of speculation as to whether they are dating or not, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya have finally got engaged to each other, putting all rumours to rest. They exchanged rings in a private ceremony in Chandigarh on January 15, 2016.

Divyanka and Vivek looked totally made for each other. Divyanka looked extremely pretty in a pink lehenga with delicate jewellery. Her hairdo and makeup were absolutely perfect. And, the green dupatta too matched her ensemble. Vivek looked dapper in a suit, and his tie matched the colour of Divyanka's outfit.

Talking to a leading daily after getting engaged, Vivek said:
"It was just for our loved ones to know that we are booked for each other. I didn't want Divyanka's profile to go up on a matrimonial site."
Theirs has been a love-cum-arranged alliance. They were introduced to each other by a common friend. Vivek recalls:
"Our friend felt we were like-minded people. We started meeting regularly only after we got our parents' approval. We were both at a marriageable age and were not interested in a fling. We often met after work and eventually started understanding that we are very compatible and similar to each other and we can take it further.”

Divyanka further added:
“After this, it was awkward for us to shoot together. But I don't think our co-actors ever got a hint. There was no courtship as we were looking at the relationship culminating into marriage."
Vivek is on cloud 9 after being engaged, and why not! After all, getting to marry the one you love is truly a special thing. He says:
“It feels good giving myself the assurance that I will be able to adhere to the commitment that I have given. We both are extremely happy. We have finally found the one, the one that we were always in search for.”

Vivek and Divyanka cannot stop gushing over each other. On being asked what Vivek likes the most about her, he said:
“I love that she manages her personal and professional life really well. That she does it beautifully and effortlessly. Sometimes I have to look out for her so that she gives some time for herself to sleep. She can compromise on all those things to balance it out. I feel guilty but it is not something that many would do for their partners.”
And, Divyanka said:
"I'm a normal girl aspiring to lead a normal life with my partner. He is genuine and simple. He is a guide who calms me when I'm stressed. He cares for me. It's a comforting feeling. Everything is good about Vivek and women should envy me. Nazar na lage."
Their hurried engagement did raise a few questions, but Vivek cleared all doubts and said:
"We were wary of delaying things as it has worked against us in the past. Once we were sure, we wanted to take the relationship to the next level."
We cannot wait for Divyanka and Vivek to tie the knot. And, we are sure these 9 Evergreen Traditions will surely be a part of their wedding.
Divyanka also said:
"At that time, we just wanted it to be a private affair and didn't want to jinx it. Now, we are madly in love with each other."
It seems Divyanka and Vivek are deeply in love with each other. On being asked about their Valentine’s Day plans, Vivek said:
“We will see what our schedules permit and how many days we can spare. We would like to go somewhere ideally for Valentine’s Day.”

The two intend to get married this year itself, and have left the date selection to their parents. Right now, they want to concentrate on making each other’s life better.
