"If I was going to marry someone, I would be married to them. I don’t try. I either do it or I don’t.”

It was back on July 15, 2022, when Sushmita Sen, through an IG post, slammed shut the reports about her marriage with Lalit Modi. However, talking about the same, Sushmita shared that she was coming across some labels like 'gold digger' post-Lalit Modi dropped a cosy photo, which sparked their marriage rumours. However, in the same interview, Susmita shared that, from her point of view, people often mistake one's silence for fear, and because of it, she had to step out and speak. Sharing that she wanted people to know that the whole incident was a matter of amusement for her, Sushmita stated:
"I just put out one post on Instagram because sometimes I think when people keep quiet, their silence is mistaken for weakness or fear. I just wanted to put out one post to let them know that I’m laughing. After that, I was done with it.”
It was back on July 14, 2022, when Lalit Modi dropped a series of cosy photos with Sushmita Sen and made their relationship official. In one of the photos, Sushmita was seen donning a huge ring, which even sparked rumours about the diva's marriage with Lalit. However, after this incident, Sushmita took to her IG handle and dropped a cute photo with her two daughters, Renee and Alisah. Sharing the photo, Sushmita penned a witty caption and slammed shut the rumours about her marriage with Lalit Modi. Sushmita's caption could be read as:
