Nevertheless, she assured her fans that she was doing well post-angioplasty surgery and is ready to return to work.

While scrolling through our IG feed, we recently stumbled upon some gorgeous glimpses of the diva, Sushmita Sen, as she walked down the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week. Looking as radiant and charming as ever, Sushmita immediately caught the attention of everyone, as it was her first public appearance post her heart attack and surgery. For the event, Sushmita opted for a yellow-hued sequinned lehenga that featured intricate crystal work all over it. She kept her tresses open, opted for glam makeup and teamed her outfit with a stunning diamond neckpiece. She also carried a bouquet of flowers as her arm candy, which she later distributed to the onlooking paparazzi as a warm gesture.
As soon as the video and pictures of Sushmita’s ramp walk circulated on social media, the fans immediately showered the actress with all their love and warm wishes and hailed her as the one born to rule the ramp. Her fans poured their heart out in the comments section of the posts. While someone commented, "Now that's a gorgeous show stopper", another wrote, "Ramp was made for her. She was made for ramp!".

The news of Sushmita Sen having suffered a heart attack came as quite a shock for the nation, as nearly nobody could have believed her to have such an ailment despite her rigorous fitness. However, a few days after the news of her health scare, the diva took to her social media handle and shared a long video expressing her gratitude to her doctors, who took the utmost care of her and honoured her wish for privacy in such dire times. In her words:
“My hats off to you, my only request was that nobody should know that I was admitted and that there was a procedure going on, and they honoured that and kept the privacy all the way until I was discharged.” She also had a message for her 'favourite cardiologist', who said she had a big heart, "Thank you for making all of this so painless."
Further in her note of gratitude, Sushmita also highlighted the emphasis on regular fitness that, in fact, had saved her from further health damage and made her recovery smooth. She also urged all her fans to take fitness seriously, as it has a high potential for improving overall health. In her words:
“I know a lot of you will stop going to the gym and say, ‘it did not help her', but that is not good. It did help me. I survived a very big heart attack. It was massive with a 95 per cent blockage in the main artery. I survived because I have kept an active lifestyle. I believe that for what it is worth, it was a phase and it passed. I am very lucky to be on the other side. It doesn't put fear in me, instead, I now have a feeling of promise to look forward to something.”
