Sushmita Sen is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. The diva never skips a chance to spread a queen-like aura with her divine beauty, exceptional acting skills, bold personality, and more. But since the last few months, the duo's joint public appearances continue to fuel their reconciliation rumours. Amid all these going on, Sushmita opened up about her marriage plans.
In an interview with Film Companion, Sushmita Sen was asked if she had any marriage plans. To this, the actress gave an adorable reply. The Aarya actress stated that she is well aware of the fact that the whole world wants her to settle down, but she doesn't care about it that much. Sushmita added that she very much believes and respects the institution of marriage. Sushmita stated:
"I know the whole world thinks I should give a damn about, at this stage at least, settling down. I don't give a damn about it. Important to mention it's only because I love and respect the institution of marriage. I do, very much. And I have the blessing of knowing some incredible people, including my (Aarya) director (Ram Madhvani) and my producer (Amita Madhvani), who are one of the most beautiful couples I know."

Talking more about the same, Sushmita Sen remarked that she is a believer in companionship, and from her point of view, if friendship is there, then anything can happen. The actress mentioned that she believes in dosti and as well as freedom, which is what she cares about the most. Sushmita can be quoted as saying:
"But I'm a big believer of companionship, dosti (friendship). And if that exists, things can happen. But that respect and dosti is very, very important. And freedom, very very important. So I give a damn about freedom."
It was back in 2022 when the internet broke down as a mushy photo of Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi surfaced online, thereby sparking their dating rumours. Although the actress maintained her silence over this matter, netizens even started speculating if Lalit and Sushmita were engaged as they spotted a ring on the actress' hand in one of the photos. However, a certain section of netizens even called Sushmita a 'gold digger'.
Moreover, in an interview with Mid-Day, Sushmita was asked if she was about to tie the knot with Lalit Modi. To this, the former Miss Universe said that if she wanted to get married, she definitely would have, but she didn't try at all. Going further in the same interview, Sushmita talked about her IG post, wherein she slammed shut the reports about her getting married to Lalit Modi. The actress shared that people often mistake someone's silence as their fear, so it was necessary to speak up once and for all.

It was on January 4, 2024, when Sushmita took to her IG handle and posted an adorable mirror selfie with Rohman. Sharing the photo, she adorably wished her 'Babush' on his birthday.
