When Sushmita Sen Revealed How She Almost Got Married To A Wrong Person, Called Herself Lucky

Born on November 19, 1975, into a Bengali Baidya family in Hyderabad, Sushmita Sen was crowned as Miss Universe in 1994. The gorgeous lady was the first Indian to win the prestigious title and had left a massive mark on the international stage. Sushmita has also worked in several films, and some of the most notable movies are Biwi No. 1, Sirf Tum, Filhaal, Aankhen, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? and the list goes on.

Apart from her illustrious professional career, Sushmita Sen's love life has always been a topic of much discussion in the media. Over the years, she has been linked with many men. While some of her relationships were serious, some were rumoured. Sushmita's most recent relationship with the popular model, Rohman Shawl, had also ended in December 2021.

Once Sushmita Sen had appeared on Simi Garewal's popular celebrity talk show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal and had admitted that there had been times when she had almost got married to her ex-lover. When Simi had asked Sushmita to share more details on this, the latter had told Simi that she had been lucky not to get married to the wrong person. Sushmita had also thanked her destiny because every time she had thought of marrying a person, things had ended up real quick between them. She had said:

"I've been very lucky. There have been time when I could have made a mistake, but something, somewhere has gone wrong, and told me in no uncertain words that 'this is wrong, this will not work out'. And then, with as much dignity left, I have managed to walk away from it."

In the same interview, Sushmita had also recalled her numerous encounters with love throughout her life. The actress stated that the more relationships you have in your life, the higher are the chances of a person's growth in a relationship. Reflecting on the lessons that every relationship teaches us, Sushmita emphasised on the fact that she had fallen in love many times in her life. She had said:

"The more relationships you have, the more you grow in relation too. I have loved and lost many time."

Going further in her heart-to-heart conversation with Simi Garewal, the actress had also added that she has always been grateful to all the people, who had entered her life because each one of them had left her just at the right fateful time. Sushmita Sen had also added that she isn't only talking about her love interests but everyone, who were once with her. She had explained:

"I am so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life, who have left at the right time for me to grow."

In the same interview, Simi Garewal had asked Sushmita Sen to choose one man from her list of lovers, who had made a major impact on her life. Answering this, the actress had once again showcased a perfect blend of wisdom and wittiness in her statement, as she had labelled all her ex-lovers 'amazing'. Sushmita had said:

"They're all such amazing people, amazing men, and so wrong for me!"
