Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, is excited as she is all set to make her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film, The Archies. The 23-year-old star kid is on a promotional spree, and during one of the events, Suhana talked about sustainable fashion and praised actress, Alia Bhatt. She called Alia ‘incredible’ for repeating her wedding saree at the National Awards.
The video has surfaced on Reddit, and Suhana mentioned how Alia influenced others to adopt sustainable fashion. In her words:
“Alia wore her wedding saree again for the National Awards and I think as somebody with a platform, who has an influence, I thought that was incredible and a much-needed message.”

Suhana further mentioned that if a star like Alia can repeat a dress, others can do the same. Elaborating on the same, Suhana said:
“She did that and she took a stand towards sustainability. If Alia Bhatt can re-wear her wedding saree then we can also repeat an outfit for a party. We don't need to buy a new outfit. We don't realise but making new garments creates waste which impacts our biodiversity and environment. So, it's very important.”
As soon as Suhana’s video went viral, netizens reacted to her words. One of the users wrote, “Re-wearing a saree that costs millions is sustainability for them.” Another commented, “Alia ki Saree ki wajah Se Delhi ka AQI 150 points neeche gir gaya tha.”

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt re-wore her wedding saree when she received the National Award in October 2023. In an interview with PTI, Alia talked about repeating her wedding saree. Revealing the reason behind it, the actress quoted:
“Whenever there is a big event or big moment coming up, you start preparing for it… I instinctively felt like, ‘I’m going to re-wear my wedding saree’. The saree was ideated and done beautifully by Sabyasachi Mukherjee but it was a lot of me, white and gold combination and certain symbols. It was the garment I felt most myself in. And it was a really special moment for a different reason. A special outfit can be worn for a special occasion more than once.”
