Not every relationship is meant to withstand the test of time and love, and this has yet again been proven in the case of Minhwan and Yulhee’s marriage. The couple got married five years ago, on October 19, 2018, and ever since, they have repeatedly set relationship goals with their adorable chemistry. The couple is also proud parents of their three children, two twin daughters and a son. However, not everything in their relationship seemed as dreamy as it was perceived from the outside.
Choi Min-hwan, aka Minhwan, is a South Korean singer, musician, drummer and actor. He is the youngest member of the rock band, F.T. Island, where he is the lead drummer and backup vocalist. Yulhee, on the other hand, is a former member of the girl band, LABOUM, where she was the lead singer. Yulhee took a break from her career after marriage and kids.

On December 4, 2023, Yulhee took to her Instagram account and posted a black photo (denoting the sad and depressing news) wherein, in the caption, she wrote that she and Minhwan had decided to split ways amicably. Their fans did not see this coming and were shocked by the heartbreaking news. The couple have been together for five years and has three kids: two daughters and a son.
The couple added that the divorce decision is amicable, and the duo will be co-parenting their children. Yulhee added that the children would continue staying at Minhwan’s home, and changing their house and environment, all of a sudden may adversely affect their mental health. Moreover, Minhwan will have custody of their children, and Yulhee will actively be involved in co-parenting.

As soon as the post went live on Yulhee’s Instagram, all her fans and well-wishers were shocked by this announcement. While some suggested the duo reconsider the divorce for their kids, some supported their decision. Check out the comments:
