Recently, something similar happened when Sonam proudly confessed that she had fought with pandit ji during her son, Vayu's puja for not feeding him honey as the first bite.
Recently, a video of Sonam Kapoor went viral, wherein she pointed out a religious custom and revealed how she refused to follow it. In the clip, Sonam revealed that she had an argument with pandit ji who told her to feed honey as the first bite to her son. The actress made it clear to the pandit ji that she was not going to feed honey but apple puree to her son.

Sonam added that in a book she read about raising a child, it was mentioned that feeding honey to kids who are less than one year old can have an adverse effect on their health. For those who don't know, honey contains Clostridium Botulinum which can cause infant botulism, a rare fatal illness.

Another commented, "Panditji be like 'Bulaya kyon Mujhe phir !!?" One user wrote, "Why she went to Pandit ji when she don’t believe in rituals."
While some netizens made fun of Sonam Kapoor, some agreed with her. There is a part of society that calls it a choice a mother has made. One user also accepted that she had not even fed her child, honey, till six months.
On June 9, 2023, Sonam Kapoor turned 38 years old, and one of her family members shared an unseen picture of Sonam from the hospital room after she had delivered her baby boy, Vayu. In the photo, Sonam was decked up in a floral kaftan and was lying on the hospital bed. She cutely held her then-newborn baby boy, Vayu.
