Sonam Kapoor is one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood. She is loved by millions for her impeccable style statements. Moreover, the diva has worked in some blockbuster films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Khoobsurat, Raanjanaa, Neerja, Sanju, Delhi-6 and many more. However, every now and then, Sonam falls prey to social media hatred for her bold and unapologetic attitude. And now, once again, something similar happened as an old video of Sonam went viral on the internet, where she talked about loud acting.
Recently, a video of Sonam Kapoor from the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan went viral on Reddit. The video consisted of three clips and in the first clip, she was seen talking about loud acting. While the next two clips showed a glimpse of Ayushmann Khuranna from his film, Andhadhun and Sonam from the film, Blind. In the video, the actress was seen calling method acting ordinary. She even mentioned that people have the perception that actors with good looks are not good in their skills. In her words:
"Loud acting is considered like oh bol diya yar kar liya yar, this is not acting, just because of you look ordinary and you act loud doesn't mean you are good actor. It's like a perception. People feel bad that ki yar she looks bad she might as well be a good actor."

Soon after Sonam's video went viral on Reddit, internet users started flooding the comment section of the post with their hilarious reactions. Many even mercilessly trolled the actress over her thoughts on loud acting and pointed at her acting skills. While one internet user commented, "Does she have the ability to hear herself speak?!", another one wrote, "Irony is Sonam is the most ordinary actress imo." One more internet user wrote, "No doubt people have named her So-Dumb. That was such a mean thing to say. And Anil agreeing to it is even more irritating." One more comment can be read as, "Is shy trying to say that her acting is bad but she is 100 in terms of looks? Bro she is below average in looks, acting common sense and everything. She has only "Kapoor" surname nothing else."
On March 7, 2023, Sonam attended King Charles III’s coronation concert. At the concert, the actress was introduced as one of the biggest actors in Bollywood. She began her speech with a namaste and talked about India’s cultural diversity. Moreover, Sonam even introduced Steve Winwood, who performed a modern version of his iconic song, Higher Love accompanied by a 70-piece orchestra. However, as soon as Sonam’s speech was shared on social media, netizens mercilessly trolled the actress. Many even termed it as ‘embarrassing’.

Earlier, in a conversation with Rajkummar Rao, Sonam was seen asking the former, "Why do I have to start since I am a senior actor here". However, it was her arrogance with Rajkummar that irked the netizens. Soon after the video was shared on social media, netizens started calling out the actress for not just being rude to the then newcomer, Rajkummar but also glorifying herself.
