While a few celeb couples announced their pregnancy, some have welcomed their little bundles of joy and have embraced parenthood. The lockdown has proved to be a blessing in disguise for the celeb couples as they are getting to spend quality time together, which was earlier just a dream due to their professional commitments. The ones, who had embraced parenthood are making the most of the lockdown with their little ones at home. Kumkum Bhagya fame, Shikha Singh Shah too, is enjoying the motherhood phase with her newborn daughter, Alayna. Shikha Singh had made her TV debut in 2007 with Left Right Left and in no time, she garnered fame and love that she had desired for. Soon, Shikha became a household name for the television buffs and broke the hearts of her fans when she had announced her wedding to her pilot beau, Karan Shah. Shikha and Karan had tied the knot in May 2016 and four years into married life, the lovebirds had embraced parenthood for the first time. A month-and-a-half after celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary, Karan and Shikha had welcomed their little angel, whom they have named Alayna.
After teasing their fans with glimpses of newborn Alayna, Shikha Singh finally delighted her fans with the first-ever picture of her baby girl. Introducing baby Alayna with a beautiful picture, wherein she can be seen admiring her little bundle of joy, Shikha wrote, “The way u look at me makes me wonder, what did I do to have you in my life. U are heavenly, angelic, dramatic & somewhat forever hungry. But I still love every bit of you & will always keep on loving you till my last breath & beyond.” Posting the same picture on baby Alayna’s IG page, Shikha wrote, “Everyone keeps asking “Who’s your mommy” Well folks, she’s my mommy.”
A few days after Alayna’s birth, Shikha Singh had posted the first glimpse of her baby girl, which also featured their pooch, Goku. Sharing a family picture with a glimpse of mommy feet, daddy feet, baby feet and pet Goku in the center of the frame, Shikha had written, ““Alayna” is Paw-some. P.S- Im glad I got a lil sister cos there can only be one Good Boi in the house.” The same pictures were captioned on Alayna’s IG page as “Hello hello! Before giving birth to Alayna, Shikha Singh had penned a note for her then-to-be born baby. Wondering who the little one will turn out to be and praying baby ‘Al’ to be kindhearted, Shikha had written, “Often I wondered while u were inside of me that who in the world you will turn out to be. We just pray that you’ll be healthy, happy, honourable and kindhearted. Can’t wait to meet ya “Al”.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shikha Singh had revealed how her life has changed post the birth of her daughter, Alayna. She had said, "Actually nothing has changed. It still feels the same but just a little sleep-deprived because of the baby’s schedule." Sharing what is the meaning of her daughter’s name, Shikha had remarked, "It means Beautiful, Dear Child, Ray of Hope." Speaking about her pregnancy journey in the lockdown, Shikha had stated, "Actually, it went on very smoothly. Touchwood. Karan & I don’t go out much and enjoy a lot of things with each other so staying at home wasn’t that bad at all."
