After painting Tinseltown red with their mushy PDAs, Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty finally announced their separation. The once-madly-in-love couple had met inside the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT and had felt an instant connection. After coming out of the show, they announced that they are officially together and dating.
Ever since, Shamita and Raqesh came out of the reality show Bigg Boss 15, they were seen together partying and celebrating life. However, soon rumours of their separation made rounds on the internet, but Raqesh and Shamita kept dodging the question, and soon their public outings had become zero.

On July 26, 2022, Shamita and Raqesh finally announced their separation with Instagram stories. They revealed that they are no longer together. Raqesh also shared that being a private person, he didn't want to share the details of his personal life. Raqesh and Shamita also requested their fans to shower love on their upcoming video together. Earlier, there were rumours that Shamita and Raqesh had parted ways, but the duo had denied it. A report had stated that the couple had stopped talking to each other after a huge fight. It all started when Shamita had demanded Raqesh to shift his base from Pune to Mumbai, which the latter had denied.
Raqesh and Shamita often dined out together. Once Raqesh Bapat had made an appearance at Shamita Shetty's sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's Holika Dahan celebrations. Raqesh had posted a video from the festival. The actor was seen with his darling girlfriend, Shamita as they enjoyed the full moon night with a beautiful view and celebrated Holika Dahan.
