Seema Sajdeh and Sohail Khan were regarded as one of the most adorable B-town couples. However, their beautiful fairy tale story came to an end after the couple decided to part ways. For the unversed, the actor-writer-producer, Sohail Khan had met fashion designer, Seema Sajdeh at a private party. After dating for a while, the couple had eloped and got married on the day of the release of his film, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, in 1998.
After being in marital bliss for 24 years, Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh had filed for a divorce in Mumbai family court on May 13, 2022. The fashion designer had even removed 'Khan' from her name and went back to her maiden name. However, the doting parents of two kids, Nirvaan and Yohan, make sure that they keep their children updated with the new turn of events in their life. Now, celeb mommy, Seema Sajdeh discussed her choice of dropping 'Khan' from her name with her son, Nirvaan Khan in the latest episode of the Netflix series, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.

In the first episode of the Netflix series, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, fashion designer and ex-celeb wife, Seema Sajdeh was seen replacing the nameplate that reads 'Khan' from her house's main gate with one that reads 'Seema, Nirvaan, Yohaan'. However, her son, Nirvaan objected to Seema's decision and said she was basically removing just one person from their life. In his words:
"We're a family of four, all Khans. But just removing the surname, putting three of our names, you've basically indirectly removed just one person's name. It's a little unnecessary. It doesn't need to be done. What's the difference? At the end of the day, you're still Khan. We're still Khan."
Meanwhile, defending her decision, Seema responded to Nirvaan and said she wouldn't stay 'Khan' for long. Nirvaan requested her to change the nameplate to 'Khan and Sajdeh'. Later in the episode, Seema could be seen explaining to Nirvaan why she couldn't keep the name 'Khan' anywhere in her life. In her words:
"How can I do that, Nirvan? That's why there is no last name involved, it's the three of us. It doesn't discount the fact that we are always going to be a family but at the same time Nirvaan, I am also at a point in my life where I feel that I have to put one foot ahead."
In the same episode, Seema could be seen admitting that she was still struggling with the fact that her sons, Yohan and Nirvaan would not have her last name. Talking about the same, Seema said:
"I am neither here nor there at the moment. You and Yohan will have that last name which will not be my last name. It's something that I'm still trying to wrap my head around, which is why I don't want last names."

Later on the show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Seema Sajdeh could also be seen discussing about her broken marriage with her friend, Maheep Kapoor. She also talked about the impact of her and Sohail's split on their kids. Talking about the same, she stated:
"When I got married, I thought it was forever. That's how we're brought up, D-word is like a taboo. What's more important is that you have two happy parents. Sohail is always going to be the father of those children. And I am the mother and that bond no one can break. But sometimes I feel like, my biggest regret is that have I robbed them of this family. Sometimes there's a bit of guilt."
