Salman Khan Calls AR Rahman 'Average', Asks 'Humare Liye Kab Kaam Kroge', Singer Gave A Savage Reply

Salman Khan is known for his dabang nature. While the actor never really thinks about the other person's feelings before poking them, there was a time when he ended up making fun of himself by calling music maestro, AR Rahman, an 'average composer'. However, it was the ace singer's reply that left everyone laughing out loud, without being rude or mean.

Salman Khan's old video poking fun at AR Rahman goes viral

Recently, a Reddit user shared an old video of AR Rahman and Salman Khan from a 2014 event. In the clip, Salman was seen calling Rahman an 'average' composer, who was the first Indian to win two Oscars in 2009. Later, Salman quickly added that he would work with him while trying to hold his hand. He was quoted as saying:

Netizens react to Salman and AR Rahman's banter

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens expressed their viewpoint. One user wrote, "AR Rahman doesn’t like Salman Khan - body language tells us all. Salman tried to shake ARR hands after calling him average but ARR kept hands in his pocket so Salman forcibly took ARR hands out from his pocket." Another commented, "Salman most definitely was sarcastic when he said Rahman is ‘average'."

When AR Rahman revealed he stopped getting work in Bollywood due to a gang

In 2020, AR Rahman revealed that he stopped getting work in films as a gang spread false rumours about him in the industry. He also admitted that he is doing dark movies as there is a gang working against him, and trying to take away his career. He was quoted as saying:

"I don’t say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumours. When Mukesh Chhabra came to me (for Dil Bechara), I gave him four songs in two days. He told me, ‘Sir, how many people said don’t go, don’t go to him (AR Rahman) and they told me stories after stories.’ I heard that, and I realised, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm."
