While everyone loved her chic wedding lehenga from Manish Malhotra, netizens were left unimpressed with her sangeet lehenga, which was designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. Sakshi is known as a body-positive influencer, and it came as a shock for her followers as once the designer duo had fat-shamed a bride.Â
On January 28, 2024, Sakshi took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures of her sangeet look. The influencer, Sakshi, was decked up in a Falguni and Shane Peacock lehenga, which featured a heavy skirt, a strappy blouse, and a cape with feather-detailing at the hem. Her look was on point, and she beautifully carried the tricky piece. While netizens loved Sakshi's look, they were not happy with her choosing Falguni and Shane Peacock, who once shamed plus-size brides.Â

As soon as the look was posted, a Redditor posted the screenshot of Sakshi's post. One user wrote, "The fat phobic designer's attempt to do damage Control by working with a body positive influencer. This seems planned guys." Another commented, "Falguni had made a comment that brides have enough time to lose weight for their wedding and they should before buying from their brand. She also made comments about what fat brides should and shouldn’t wear." One netizen commented, "Free wala lehenga hoga, isiliye pehen liya. Kaun pehnega paise deke itna tacky lehenga."
