Before the shaadi festivities start and all of the emotions rush through your veins, there are a few pre-wedding ceremonies that need to be arranged. A lot of families organise small pujas for better health, happiness and peaceful marital life for the bride and the groom. Then there are roka and engagement ceremonies that take place prior to the main wedding events.
Each event marks a special day in a bride's life. And she wants to look as gorgeous as ever to impress her dulha. Thus, each event requires ek se badhkar ek outfits. And who can be better than the ace celebrity fashion designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee? He is known for his unique patterned embroidery, his subtle but intricate designs and the best craftsmanship. We came across this South Indian bride, Sreeja Musunuru, who had donned a gorgeous lehenga designed with multi-coloured floral embroidery and had looked absolutely stunning.
The then-bride-to-be, Sreeja had chosen an absolute stunner piece from Sabyasachi's closet for one of her pre-wedding ceremonies. Before she could get ready to tie the marital knot with the man of her dreams, Akhil Kommareddi, their family had arranged a pre-wedding puja, where Sreeja had dazzled like a royal princess in a Sabyasachi couture.
She had donned a rainbow coloured lehenga heavily embroidered with golden and silver resham in floral and bird motifs all over it. The lehenga had red, orange, yellow, royal blue, purple colours, and she had paired it with a red-coloured choli embroidered with golden thread. It had floral work and an embellished hemline. And, the look was completed with a beige-coloured dupatta adorned with patchwork at the border with buti pattern embroidery done all over it. The then-bride, Sreeja had chosen a heavy golden and kundan adorned jewellery set, including a broad choker piece decorated with green stones balancing a colour scheme in her whole look with a pair of jhumkas, maang teeka and a set of red and golden bangles, along with kadas.
She had completed her look with winged liner, kohled eyes with brownish smokey shadow, blushed cheeks, red lips and a small bindi. Sreeja had kept her tresses open in soft curls. On the other hand, her then-groom-to-be, now-husband, Akhil Kommareddi had worn a gorgeous cherry red-coloured bandhgala kurta embroidered with buti floral patterns and had paired it with beige-coloured pyjama. The bride and groom had looked happy at their pre-wedding ceremony.
The ceremony had taken place in Hyderabad and had gorgeous decor planned with floral garlands and carnations in a bronze metallic ambience by Akarshana events. Studio Weddings captured the bride and the groom's beautiful moments. The bride had kept her makeup minimal as she had let her outfit and the coordinated jewellery pieces do the talking!
