Television actress, Rupali Ganguly has won our hearts many times with her effortless performances. Best known for portraying the role of a middle-class and unapologetic 'Monisha Sarabhai' in the sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Rupali was the show-stealer throughout the series. She is one of the highest-paid actresses on Indian television and is hailed for her liberal thoughts.
The actress was recently papped at the Mumbai airport with her husband, Ashwin K Verma and their son, Rudransh. Before jetting off, Rupali was seen touching her husband’s feet and taking his blessings. Following this, their son, Rudransh, too, copied his mother. The family of three hugged each other before she bid goodbye to her family.

As soon as the video went viral on social media, many netizens reacted to the same and showed their disapproval over it. One of the users wrote, “Safalta ki chaabi pati ka aashirwad??? Rupali Ganguly made her television debut with Sukanya and was later seen in Sanjivini, but it was her role of 'Monisha Sarabhai' in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai that rose her to prominence in 2004. After the show, Rupali became a household name. In 2013, Rupali tied the knot with her long-time friend, Ashwin K Verma, whom she had known for 12 years. In 2015, Rupali embraced motherhood and welcomed a baby boy, Rudraksha.

After delivering her baby boy, Rupali took a sabbatical from acting. After taking a sabbatical for seven years, she returned to acting with the show Anupamaa, which is one of the most popular shows on Indian television today. Rupali began the show by charging Rs. 1.5 lakh per episode. However, as the show's TRPs skyrocketed, Rupali, too, increased her fees to Rs. 3 lakhs per episode. She is now paid way ahead of the male leads of Indian television.
During an interview with News18, the actress revealed how she successfully returned to television. She lauded Ashwin for being the pillar of strength and always supporting her as a doting hubby. Rupali said that it couldn’t be possible without the help of Ashwin as he took early retirement and shifted from America to India, only to support her dreams. In her words:
“I am blessed that I have a husband who is so supportive. He has taken early retirement and moved from America. It does not matter if I work or not. We do not have big desires.”
