The name of the popular conservative leader, Rishi Sunak is all over the news and is trending especially all over India for all the right reasons. The British politician is getting hailed for giving a perfect Diwali gift to all the Indians across the globe. For the unversed, on October 24, 2022, Rishi Sunak became the first Prime Minister of Britain of the Indian-origin, and it has made every Indian proud. The netizens are showering tons of praise on 42-year-old Rishi Sunak for also becoming the youngest PM in British history.

Apart from being a popular politician and now the Prime Minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak's connections in India are quite deep-rooted. The young PM is the son-in-law of one of the biggest multi-billionaires in the world, Narayana Murthy, who is the Founder of Infosys. As soon as it was announced that Rishi Sunak had become Britain's PM, the doting father-in-law reacted to it with a special congratulatory message for his son-in-law.

One of the wealthiest politicians of the Conservative party, Rishi Sunak becomes the first Prime Minister in Britain's history of Hindu origin. The politician takes over from former Prime Minister of Britain, Liz Truss, who had stepped down from the post on October 20, 2022. As soon as the news of his win was reported in the news, Rishi Sunak's father-in-law, Narayana Murthy, reacted to his son-in-law's massive achievement. The doting sasur admitted that he is quite confident that his damad will do justice to his new post and will definitely lead Britain to new heights with his ideas. In a conversation with PTI (Press Trust of India), Narayana Murthy also admitted that he and his entire family are extremely proud of Rishi Sunak. He said:

"Congratulations to Rishi. We are proud of him and we wish him success. We are confident he will do his best for the people of the United Kingdom."

For the unversed, when Rishi Sunak became the MP of Yorkshire, he had taken his oath on Bhagavad Gita inside the British parliament, and it had broken the headlines back then. He had become the first politician to do this, and everyone hailed him for not forgetting his Indian roots. Both Rishi Sunak's family background and his parents are of Indian descent. While his father, Yashvir Sunak was a National Health Service general practitioner in the UK, his mother, Usha Sunak was also a pharmacist, who ran a chemist shop in the same country.

On August 18, 2022, Rishi Sunak had taken to his Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures with his wife, Akshata Murthy to wish everyone on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. In the pictures, Rishi and Akshata could be seen visiting the famous Bhaktivedanta Manor temple in Watford, United Kingdom. The pictures had gone viral in no time, and the couple was once again hailed for celebrating Hindu festivals wholeheartedly with proper rituals. Along with the priceless pictures, he had written:

"Today I visited the Bhaktivedanta Manor temple with my wife Akshata to celebrate Janmashtami, in advance of the popular Hindu festival celebrating Lord Krishna's birthday."
