One of the most loved and crazy in love couples of the Indian film industry, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, had met for the first time on the sets of their film, Fukrey and had become good friends. After some time, the two had developed feelings for each other and had fallen in love.
Initially, they had kept their relationship a secret, and it was only when we had spotted Richa Chadha accompanying Ali Fazal to the Venice Film Festival that their relationship rumours had turned into reality. Since then, their wedding rumours have been ruling the headlines. Now, in their recent joint interview, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have opened up about their wedding plans.

In a joint interview with Film Companion's Anupama Chopra, the madly in love couple, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, opened up about their marriage plans. When the stunning couple was asked to surface details about their wedding, Ali Fazal stated that 2022 would hopefully be the year when they'll take the plunge. The actor also recalled the impact of the second wave and how it had washed off their plans to go hitched in the year 2021. He said:
"It's been a topsy turvy year for everybody and that's why our celebrations got stalled. But we're hoping in the new year. We were planning around the time of the second wave came, but again the second wave happened. So we couldn't."
Going further in the interview, Richa Chadha jokingly stated that every time they start to plan their wedding, the COVID waves start hitting the headlines. Showing her disappointment, she said:
"Now, I'm starting to think the waves have something to do with our planning. Every time we start getting things together, call the planner and you know."
Consoling his girlfriend, the doting boyfriend, Ali Fazal, chipped in and explained that after the COVID restrictions were lifted, both he and his ladylove, Richa Chadha got extremely busy with their professional commitments. However, the actor has convinced his massive fanbase that 2022 will hopefully be the year when 'Guddu Bhaiya' will get married. Ali Fazal also revealed that Valentine's Day month, February is on their wedding radar. He explained:
"And once things open up we jump into the work that we have pending. I suppose that's why (wedding is delayed). But we definitely have plans in Feb/March maybe."

At the end of the interview, Richa Chadha also addressed the much-asked question about the kind of wedding she and her boyfriend, Ali Fazal, are rooting for, is it going to be a lavish one or an intimate one. Answering this, the actress clearly stated that she's a 'Chadha' and wants a lavish wedding affair. She said:
"I do want to celebrate love, the love between both of us as creators, artists, collaborators, an interfaith couple...whatever people say I don't care. I'm a Chadha.. I want a party."
