The ongoing investigation into Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is going on in full swing, and we have already witnessed a lot of twists and turns in this case. The only major arrest that we have seen is of Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested under the charges of drug procurement and consumption on September 9, 2020. Also, the names of some Bollywood celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, and designer, Simon Khambatta had popped in the case. Talking about Rhea Chakraborty, then she was to be kept in judicial custody till September 21, 2020. But after her arrest, her bail plea has already been rejected twice, and according to the latest reports, the court has extended her judicial custody. Scroll down to know more!
According to ANI, the Special NDPS Court in Maharashtra has extended the judicial custody of Bollywood actress, Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik Chakraborty till October 20. The actress was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 9, 2020, and at that time it was reported that her judicial custody would end on September 21, 2020. Both Rhea and Showik were arrested by the NCB on the bases of their involvement in the drug nexus that is related to the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case. ANI tweeted the same information on their Twitter handle and wrote, "Special NDPS Court extends judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty and others till October 20. #SushantSinghRajputDeathCase." Earlier, in a Times Now report, during the second round of interrogation by the NCB, Rhea Chakraborty had alleged Sushant Singh Rajput of forcing her to do drugs with him. Before that, Rhea had given the statement that she used to procure drugs for Sushant but had never consumed it herself. Rhea was questioned with her brother, Showik by the NCB officials. She had later retracted her statement and had said that Sushant forced her to do drugs. According to the reports flashed in Pinkvilla, Rhea stated in her bail plea that she had observed her late boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput "smoking cigarettes containing ganja" which he "sourced and procured for himself" while taking some help from his household staff. She also added that she had tried Sushant to get rid of this habit, but the late actor had developed a 'deep liking' for cannabis cigarettes during the shoot of Kedarnath.
