Farah Khan’s 2007 romantic fantasy drama, Om Shanti Om was one of the highly grossed films of its time, with a box-office collection of Rs. 148.16 crores worldwide. It starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and many others. Not only that, the film produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, also became the one film which consisted of the highest number of cameo roles in it. However, the long-running film also had to delete many scenes. One of which was when a few popular actors, including R Madhavan, Boman Irani, Zayed Khan, and others graced the award show shown in the film.
Recently, a video was shared by an Instagram user, wherein the deleted scene of the film featuring the cameo roles of several Bollywood actors being interviewed was shown. At the beginning of the video, Karan Johar can be heard saying, “Did you know, Om Shanti Om ke award function wale scene ke liye Farah Khan ne joh interviews liye the, usme se kaafi film mein nahi dikhe.” Following this, we can seen an array of A-listers from the industry giving small bites regarding who will win the prestigious award. While Zayed Khan said, “Woh toh mujhe hi milega”, Ashutosh Gowariker mentioned, “I think….”

Following this, Farhan Akhtar uttered, “Om definitely. Om ko hi milega. Par mujhe lagta hai yeh joh Best Actor aur Best Actress ka award hai, it should be one award – for Best Human Being. So, all the best to all the human beings who are coming here. Bahut kam hai.” Then, several others stepped in front of the camera, including Boman Irani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and more, to talk about the one who deserves to win.

Finally, we get to hear R Madhavan baring his heart out. The actor was heard saying that he is the Shah Rukh Khan for the South Indian film industry, and thus, the award must be given to him. In his words:
“Mujhe lagta hai mujhe milna chahiye tha, lekin unhone nominate tak nahi kiya. Aapko shayad pata nahi par south ke Shah Rukh Khan mujhe kaha jaata hai lekin yaha koi izzat hi nahi hota yaar.”
As soon as the video was uploaded on social media, netizens started making fun of R Madhavan and brutally trolled him. While one user penned, "R madhavan South ka SRK", another user commented, "South ka srk. meta humour." Check out the comments:
