After Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy, there is another celeb wedding on cards soon. Yes, Naamkarann actress, Poonam Preet and Kundali Bhagya actor, Sanjay Gagnani got engaged to each other on February 18, 2018. Poonam and Sanjay exchanged ring in the beautiful city of Surat. The ceremony was attended by their family members, close relatives and friends from the industry.

Isn’t this a happy news for all their fans? Well, everyone is eagerly waiting for their marriage but the couple has no plans whatsoever to tie the nuptial knot soon. About the same, Sanjay was earlier quoted as saying, “There are no marriage plans as of now. Our careers are our priority and we want to invest our energy and time in work.” According to a leading portal, the happy groom-to-be, Sanjay was quoted as saying, "The engagement happened at Surat. We opted for getting engaged at Surat since my family resides near Surat. All my relatives are either from Surat, Navsari, Baroda and Ahmedabad and we chose to get engaged in Surat, since it would be convenient for them to attend our engagement party. Poonam’s family flew all the way from Delhi to Surat to attend and celebrate with us."
Talking more about the engagement, he further added, "A lot of our friends from Mumbai drove down specially to Surat to attend our engagement party. Friends like Vahbiz Dorabjee, Pankit Thakker, Shivya Pathania, Kinshuk Vaidya, Zaan Khan, Nupur Sanon, Aditi Rathore, Abhishek Bajaj, Abhishek Kapur, Ruhi Chaturvedi, Arhaan Behl, Shalu Shreya, Malhar Pandya and Priya Patidar attended the celebrations."
Talking about his relationship, he once revealed to a leading daily, “Communication is crucial for any relationship to grow. There’s always so much to talk about when you’re from the same industry. Exchanging viewpoints, helping each other, criticising, praising, discussing things about the industry… all this help in creating a better understanding.” Along the similar path, Poonam shared, “When you are in the same profession, especially showbiz, there is no need to clarify when you work overtime.”
In the same interview when they were asked about each other, they replied candidly. While Sanjay likes Poonam’s innocence as the best part about her, Poonam likes Sanjay’s honesty and his caring attitude towards her.
For those of you who do not know, Poonam and Sanjay first met in 2012 and instantly became friends. Soon, the cupid struck and they became lovebirds. Recalling those times, Sanjay said in an interview, “ Finally we became real friends when she arrived in Mumbai from Delhi. Then we started spending time with each other and became best friends forever. The best part about my relationship with her is, the relationship has the same amount of energy and passion as it had when we met for the first time five years back.”
When another leading online portal asked Poonam about the fickle nature of relationships these days, she shared, “I believe everybody’s destiny is different. So, these things don’t really bother me. I have faith in my relationship and I’m not at all marriage-phobic. I have always dreamt of a fairytale wedding.” To the same, Sanjay retorted, “I was marriage-phobic. In fact, it has taken me six years to overcome my marriage phobia. It was all because of the bitter experiences I had before I met Poonam. She has made me believe in love again.”
We’re so happy that two are engaged, and can’t wait more to see Poonam and Sanjay in their wedding avatars.
