Digital platforms are serving the greater needs of the fast-paced world. Talking about the education sector, from YouTube classes to app-based learning systems, everything brought revolution to the education journey with a promise to offer accessible and free learning resources to learners. One such popular app-based learning platform is Physics Wallah, which was co-founded by Alakh Pandey in 2020. Last month, a teacher from the same firm made it to the headlines as he used a casteist slur during an online class. And yet another incident brought Physics Wallah to the headlines for all the negative reasons.
In a shocking turn of events, a teacher associated with the Ed-tech firm, Physics Wallah caught into a fight with a student during the live streaming. Now, a recorded video of the same has been sending shockwaves amongst the netizens. The video, which was mainly recorded and uploaded by another student from that particular live class, circulated massively online. In this 9-second video, the teacher can be seen solving math on the board while a student comes up and slaps him with slippers. However, it is worth mentioning that the reason for such a heated atmosphere is not known yet.

As soon as the clip was uploaded on X (previously known as Twitter), netizens started throwing their opinions in the comment section. Reacting to the video, users started questioning the treatment the educators are receiving nowadays. While a netizen commented, "aajkal teachers ki kya halat ban gyi hai.. koi gali kha rha hai aur koi chappal," another user wrote, "Gurus ka haal behal hai iss yug mein." This is not the first time that PhsycisWallah made it to the headlines. In the last month itself, a teacher associated with the firm rendered a formal apology for using a casteist slur during an online lecture. However, later, the company posted an apology video from the teacher while emphasising that creating inclusivity among everyone is their main aim.

Back in February, a widespread video featuring a dispute between management and students led Physics Wallah to take action by dismissing the employment of a centre manager in Rajasthan. Soon after that, in March this year, three teachers from the firm, Tarun Kumar, Manish Dubey, and Sarvesh Dixit, were accused of taking bribes. Later, the teachers quit the company and shared that another Physics Wallah teacher, Pankaj Sijairya made some unproven allegations about them, which is why their YouTube channel got strikes. They also claimed that they resigned because of the atmosphere of Physics Wallah, which is no longer conducive for students.
