Pakistani actress, Mawra Hocane has proven her mettle not only in Lollywood but also in Indian cinema as well. The actress starred as ‘Saru’ in the 2016 romantic film, Sanam Teri Kasam, opposite the talented Indian actor, Harshvardhan Rane. Meanwhile, Mawra has been the lead actress in several acclaimed Pakistani dramas, such as Daasi, Sabaat, Mein Bushra, Maryam, Neem, Nauroz, and more.
Along with an immensely successful professional front, the 31-year-old actress is speculated to be dating her co-star, Ameer Gilani. The two reportedly became close while filming their drama, Sabaat in 2020, leading to speculation that they might be dating. The two have also starred in the drama, Neem, together.

Recently, Mawra Hocane shared a story on her official Instagram account praising her co-star and best friend, Ameer Gilani. She posted a clip from Something Haute’s year-ender video featuring five best actors and actresses from the Pakistani entertainment industry. Among the top 5 best actors, the Neem actor, Ameer’s name was also mentioned. The actress then penned a heartfelt note of appreciation for her alleged beau. She wrote:
“I know how hard you work…I’ve seen you on two different sets #Sabaat & #Neem & I think your co-actors including me are lucky to work alongsideeee such a brilliant, hardworking person!!! So proud!!!”
On the other hand, even Mawra Hocane was named as one of the top 5 actresses in 2023 in the same year-ender video by Something Haute. And as expected, Ameer Gilani did not shy away from heaping praises on his rumoured girlfriend, Mawra. He also took to his official Instagram account and shared a story thanking the actress for her kind and encouraging words on his achievement. Later, Ameer also congratulated Mawra on her impeccable performance in her recent dramas, wherein she was amongst the top 5 actresses in 2023. He penned:
“@mawrellous you’ve always been so kind. Thank you for motivating and encouraging me. Hassan was nothing without Anaya, and Ashhad is nothing without Zimal. Thank you for playing both so beautifully. Congratulations to you too for all the appreciation for Nauroz and Neem.”

Once a fan page dedicated to Mawra Hocane posted a romantic video featuring moments which showed how comfortable the actress is around Ameer. In the same video post, Mawra commented and this caught everyone's attention. She liked the video and wrote, “This is so accurate.” Although the duo is often seen together and even celebrated Mawra's birthday together, they have not officially announced their relationship.
Every now and then, they post cutesy pictures of one another on their respective Instagram accounts. One of such pictures, where they are twinning in beige-hued ensembles, is even pinned on Mawra's IG handle. Mawra looked stunning in a beige floral saree, which she paired with a white collared blouse, meanwhile, Ameer looked handsome in his white t-shirt, blue denim and beige shirt.
