Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor had made us believe that love is the only thing required to lead a happy life. Their love story was not less than any Bollywood film and is still considered as an iconic one. When Rishi Kapoor had made his debut with the film, Bobby, his charm was such that he used to get love letters written with blood from his female fans. But the handsome actor was bowled over by the gorgeous Neetu Singh and had gotten married to her.

Thirteen months back, Rishi Kapoor had taken his last breath after fighting the battle with cancer for two years. Even after Rishi Kapoor’s death, Neetu Kapoor had kept him alive in her heart in the form of their precious memories. On May 18, 2020, Neetu Kapoor had shared a throwback family picture featuring Rishi Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Ranbir Kapoor, and Samara Sahni. Along with the picture, she had written, “How I wish this picture could remain complete as is” followed by a heart emoticon.
A few moments back, Neetu Kapoor took to her IG handle and remembered Rishi Kapoor on Eid by sharing a throwback memory from their film, Amar Akbar Anthony. Neetu shared a collage of pictures from the film’s famous qawali, Parda hai parda and captioned it as “Eid Mubarak. Chaand Mubarak… love and hugs (EID ul FITAR).”
To mark what would have been her 41st wedding anniversary with Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor had posted a video on January 22, 2021, comprising of their beautiful memories off-screen and on-screen. The video had the song, Hum Hain Is Pal Yahan from the film, Kisna: The Warrior Poet playing in the background and Mrs Kapoor had captioned the post as “Justtt. Would have been our 41 years today”, followed by a heartbroken emoji.
If there was someone, who stood by Rishi Kapoor like a rock throughout his treatment, then it was his wife, Neetu Kapoor. Taking care of him just like a mother, Neetu was his strongest pillar. After his death, on May 2, 2020, Neetu had shared an emotional farewell post for him. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a picture of Rishi with a drink in his hand, posing for the camera with his enchanting smile. She had captioned the picture as “End of our story.”

After one month of Rishi Kapoor’s death, Neetu Kapoor had taken to her IG handle and had shared a throwback picture with him to begin her second innings in life. Along with the picture, she had penned an emotional note, which could be read as “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye Cheerio, here I go on my way. With a cheer, not a tear, in your eye Give me a smile, I can keep for a while, In my heart while I'm away.”
