Aaliya Siddiqui has constantly been hitting the headlines for quite some time now. For the unversed, Aaliya is the estranged wife of the Bollywood actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The mother of two, Aaliya graced Bigg Boss OTT 2, but she got evicted recently. However, on June 27, 2023, Aaliya dropped some startling remarks about Salman Khan after the latter slammed her for bringing her personal life into the show. Amid all these, Aaliya confirmed that she and Nawazuddin aren't officially divorced yet. She also recalled some good old memories with her estranged husband.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nawazuddin's estranged wife, Aaliya got nostalgic and recalled when she and Nawaz lived in a small flat in Mumbai. Aaliya shared how although she and Nawaz didn't have any source of income during that time, the latter's sweet gestures used to make her happy. Sharing the details about the same, Aaliya revealed that Nawazuddin used to borrow Rs. 50 and bring her bread and butter as she used to love eating the same. Recalling such sweet memories, Aaliya shared:
"He would borrow Rs 50 and get bread and butter, because I was really fond of eating bread and butter. He used to be innocent and I would appreciate that he got such an expensive thing because for us, bread and butter were expensive luxuries at that time."

Further, in the interview, Aaliya revealed that she used to wake up in the morning, and Nawazuddin used to surprise her with bread and butter. She added that she didn't know how to do household work, and Nawaz used to do everything for her. Aaliya said it was a good time because she was in love, but latter she understood that the relationship wasn't working anymore. However, her then-husband had everything, she decided to drift apart. Elaborating more on the same, Aaliya mentioned:
"I would wake up in the morning and he would surprise me with bread and butter in the morning. I didn’t know how to do any of the household chores so Nawaz did everything in the house. It was a good time because I was in love. When I felt like the relationship with Nawaz wasn’t the same anymore, even though he had everything, then I drifted away but back then, I was really in love.”
In the same interview, Aaliya shared that she and Nawazuddin aren't divorced yet. She shared that the matter is currently in the court. Talking about the alimony, Aaliya revealed that she didn't take a single penny from Nawazuddin, and the latter gives the monthly amount that the court has instructed him to give. She also mentioned that she asked for a house from her estranged husband, as half of it is hers. Aaliya revealed:
"We are not divorced yet. The matter is still in the court. We are yet to see what happens next . I will ask the lawyer what is happening. Nothing on the divorce front has happened from my side. I have not taken a penny from him. Whatever he gives is the monthly amount that the court has instructed him to give it to me...I gave him in writing that you can take whatever you want, I don’t even want a penny from you, except for one house because I need it for my own life. I asked him to give me a house because half of it is mine. Give that to me so I can sell it off and pay my creditors, and can stand on my own then."
The divorce battle between Aaliya and Nawazuddin caught everyone's attention earlier as they levelled several allegations against each other. Aaliya claimed that Nawazuddin ‘disowned’ their children, and his mother harassed her by not giving her access to their Mumbai home. Nawaz, on the other hand, mentioned that Aaliya only wanted money.

For those who don't know, on June 5, 2023, Aaliya took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture with her newfound love. Although the mother of two didn't reveal the mystery man's name, she heaps praise on him every now and then. In an interview, the actress revealed they met a year ago in Dubai as they joined a mutual friend's party and instantly hit it off.
