This ‘now-married’ couple needs no introduction as they have already introduced themselves to us through their ecstatic performance in their films. Actress Myra Karn and Director Raj Kumar Gupta were friends for a long time and decided to ‘upgrade’ their friendship to another level on June 20, 2018.
Myra’s wedding to Raj was a close-knit affair with only family members and close friends attending their ‘big-day’. The couple got married in Raj’s hometown, Ranchi. While the couple is not much of a social media enthusiast, we came across some beautiful pictures of them from their wedding day, shared by the TOI. Myra looked ethereal in a beautiful pink lehenga and teamed it up with an orange dupatta. She kept her makeup and jewellery minimum and her simple yet elegant chooda completed her look. Raj complemented Myra, by wearing an off-white bandhgala and an exquisite haar in the neck. Take a look at the pictures:
Weren’t they breathtaking? At an interview with the TOI, Raj was asked about his marriage. He shared, “The decision to get married was instinctive. We have been friends for years, and there comes a point when you want it to be more than that, as our wavelength matched. Also, I believe friendship is the base of everything. So guys, gear up for another tinsel town gathering! Also, don’t you all want to know where the couple is heading off for their honeymoon? Myra and Raj has chosen Seychells for their first trip together as ‘mister and missus’.
Raj had directed Myra’s debut movie No One Killed Jessica and had been in constant touch since then. They were friends for a long time before Raj decided to propose Myra and ask him to be ‘his forever’. Speaking of the same, Raj had shared in an interview with the TOI, “We have been friends for long. On the work front, Myra has not taken up much offers post her humongous debut success. However, you all will see Myra returning to the screens again (after Raj coaxed her to star) with Chetan Bhagat’s adaptation of Revolution 2020, directed by her hubby Raj, where she will star opposite actor Rajkummar Rao.
