With new generations making their way into the glamour world, the veterans take a backseat. However, their evergreen charm fails to fade away. Thanks to the reality shows, we are getting to witness a lot of yesteryear stars on the screen. From Dharmendra to Randhir Kapoor, of late we have seen many veterans grace the reality shows. The recent one to add was veteran actress, Mumtaz on the dance reality show, Dance Deewane 3.
It would have been great for the Dance Deewane 3 fans to witness Madhuri Dixit and Mumtaz share the screen space for the first time. Also, this would be Mumtaz's first reality show appearance after a long time. However, Mumtaz’s fans will have to wait a little longer as according to the reports the veteran actress demanded a whopping amount of money to be a part of the show, and the makers found it unacceptable.
Talking about Mumtaz’s “too much” demand, ETimes quoted its source as “Mumtaz quoted somewhere in the range of Rs 40-50 lakh. The channel felt it was too much for them, but think of it, it's their loss. Mumtaz is an extremely popular artriste and above all, it would have been the first time that she would have made an appearance on a show on national television."
Mumtaz was in the headlines a few days back, for her reunion with Dharmendra. They had worked in several films together like Loafer, Jheel Ke Us Paar and others. According to reports, Mumtaz had chatted with the yesteryear superstar, Dharmendra for 2-3 hours. Their reunion picture had gone viral over the internet, where Dharmendra was seen posing with Mumtaz.
In the reunion pictures of Mumtaz and Dharmendra, we had got a rare glimpse of Dharam with his first wife, Prakash Kaur. In the picture, we could see Dharmendra sitting with Mumtaz, and her sister. Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, had also posed with them happily.
In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, legendary Bollywood actress, Mumtaz's daughter, Tanya Madhvani had talked about her life and the teachings that her parents had given her. She had revealed the impact of her parents' massive stardom on her childhood. Tanya had said, "I have always known that my mother is the famous Mumtaz, but for me, she is always my Mom. When you walk down the street with her, it is normal to have people coming up to tell her how much they love her."
When asked how much her mom, Mumtaz influences her life? Tanya had stated, "My mother tells me it is hard work that makes you successful. Sometimes, when I'm facing challenges, she tells me that the journey upward is difficult and takes a lot of persistence and time. But coming down can happen in two minutes."
On the professional front, Mumtaz has worked in some of the classic films like Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Apradh and Khilona!
