The badshaah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan needs no introduction. His valuable contribution to the world of art and his worldwide popularity speaks volume about him. Even though he has achieved a lot of fame in the world, there is only one hollow that remains in his life. And it is the presence of his parents, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima Khan in his life. It is not unknown to anyone how Shah Rukh lost his family at the age of 26, however, he built a life for himself and got on the top of the world. And now, the Bollywood actor and Shah Rukh's friend from his early days, Manoj Bajpayee talked about him and revealed why he admires him so much.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Manoj Bajpayee opened up about his friend and Bollywood's badshaah, Shah Rukh Khan. Talking about him, the actor shared that he has huge respect for Shah Rukh and he feels happy to see him at the height that he is now. He also lauded Shah Rukh for building a life for himself after losing his family at the age of 26. Elaborating on how he created his own space, his own family, Manoj said:
"Mujhe bahut khushi hoti hain usko uss mukaam pe dekh ke, jiss tarah ke duniya usne khadi ki apne liye. Ek vyakti jiska pura duniya ujadh chuka that. 26 saal ke umar mein aur uska pura parivaar ja chuka tha, phir usne apni duniya khadi . Parivaar apna create kiya, apne liye itna bada naam, izaat banaya."

Further, in the same conversation, Manoj also shared that during their starting days, he and Shah Rukh used to hang out together. However, he also mentioned that even though they don't get time to meet up they both have mutual respect for each other. Manoj revealed that he respects Shah Rukh because he saw him losing his world after the death of his parents. Mentioning that he respects him for how he overcame his sorrow, he stated that he could never be bitter about the Don actor. In his words:
"Main isliye respect karta hoon kyunki main unke aas paas saare doston mein tha, jisne dekha tha uske saath yeh sab hote hue. Mere liye kabhi Shah Rukh ke liye koi kadvahat nahi ho sakti."
Earlier, during a conversation with Gallata Plus, Manoj had recalled his old days with Shah Rukh in Delhi. Talking about the same, the actor revealed that Shah Rukh was the first one who introduced him to the nightlife of Delhi. He also shared that Shah Rukh and some other friends had taken him to a discotheque and that was his first experience of a club.

Once, during the promotion of her film, Hichki, Rani Mukherji had asked celebrities to share the hiccups they had faced in life. Her close friend, Shah Rukh was among the first ones to talk about the same and shared that his parents' death was the biggest Hichki moment of his life. In his words:
"My greatest ‘Hichki moment’ is the death of my parents. I was 15 when my father passed away and 26 when my mother passed away. It was very sad for us. The empty house without my parents used to come to bite us (my sister and me). The loneliness, pain and sadness of the loss of both my parents, could have been overwhelming enough to take over my life wholly. I decided to overcome this Hichki moment by letting acting fill up my entire life.”
