On August 21, 2019, Mahhi Vij and her husband, Jay Bhanushali were blessed with a little angel, whom they had named, Tara. A week ago, Tara had completed five-months and her doting mother, Mahhi had shared an adorable video. Along with it, she had written, "You are 6 months old now I remember your first scream as you enter the world I remember the very second you were in my arms. And now you are here, so smart so curious grabbing your bottle to try to be too independent I am incredibly proud of you. My warrior these 6 months I thank god every single day for giving me you. Thank you for making me your mumma I love you. I have a best friend who will make me feel special and loved. Life starts now."
On February 10, 2020, Mahhi shared another cute picture of her little daughter, Tara. In the picture, we can see Tara looking adorable while donning a white bathrobe and makeup brushes in her hand. Along with the picture, Mahhi wrote, "I promise to teach you to be kind. I promise to listen to you. I promise to encourage you, guide you, and support you. I promise you a fresh start each day. I promise to teach you, comfort you remind you to be humble and let you be your own person. For those who don't know, Mahhi Vij is not new to motherhood as she and her husband, Jay had adopted their caretakers' children, Khushi and Rajveer. They didn't just decide to fund their education but also made sure to spend enough time with them. One look at their Instagram feeds and we cannot distinguish whether they are their biological kids or adopted. They put in special efforts in celebrating their birthdays and often go on holidays with them. On January 15, 2020, Mahhi had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a cute note for her three kids. She had posted a picture of adorable siblings (Khushi, Rajveer and Tara in the middle), and had written, "You three complete me! Khushi, my first child, you'll always be very special to me. You are the best daughter and I m happy that Tara will follow your footsteps. Rajveer my second child the most caring brother from asking visitors to sanitize their hands to making sure tara is ok I love you Rajveer you make me a proud mumma. Tara, we have prayed for you, yes we have prayed for you. You are surprising mumma by each passing day with so much patience. I love you my little one. Thank you, god, for my three angels." In an interview with the Bombay Times, Jay had talked about embracing fatherhood and nurturing his little girl. He had shared, "I can’t describe the feeling. I have just become the father of a very beautiful child and I thank God for being kind to us. She is a little angel and I can’t wait to bring her home. I wish to give her all the happiness in life, and that will be my aim now. My other two children will also be delighted to have a new member at home."
Jay and Mahhi had dreamt of having a baby girl as their first child. In an interview with the IANS, Jay had talked about becoming a father of a baby girl and had shared, "No relationship in the world can match the sanctity of a father-daughter relationship. I wish that my wife gives birth to a baby girl. I have no gender preference and it is not that I won’t like it if it’s a boy. It’s just that I have experienced the father-son connect with my dad, and now, I want to see how a daughter bonds with her dad."
