Madhuri Dixit and late choreographer, Saroj Khan's journey has been quite beautiful and epic in itself. The late choreographer had choreographed many dance numbers for the actress. Madhuri's hit dance steps from the songs, Ek Do Teen, Dola Re Dola, Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar, Tabaah Ho Gaye, Chane Ke Khet Mein and many more have been choreographed by none other than Saroj Khan. Moreover, the duo had an adorable bond which was more than a guru and shishya. And now, as per multiple reports, Madhuri Dixit has been roped in for Saroj Khan's biopic.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, it is revealed that Madhuri Dixit is in talks for late choreographer, Saroj Khan's biopic. For the unversed, Hansal Mehta is making a biopic on Saroj Khan's life, which will be released on an OTT platform. As per the report, the makers of the film have decided to have a series of actors for different stages of Saroj Khan's life. Mentioning that Madhuxi Dixit is being considered for one of the roles, the source stated:
"Writing is still at a very nascent stage and hence nothing concrete has come out. However, makers are trying to have a series of actors to play Saroj ji in different phases of her life. And Madhuri is being considered for one of these roles."

According to the HT report, another source mentioned that Madhuri will be the central character in the film. Mentioning that the actress was approached for the same, the source said that she will be the perfect choice for Saroj Khan's biopic because the former has played a big role in shaping the actress' career. The source added that Madhuri and Saroj Khan shared a very close bond and their understanding was beyond anything; hence, it was easy for the makers to communicate with the actress regarding the film.
In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Saroj Khan's daughter, Sukaina talked about the biopic and stated that the actors have not been finalised yet. She mentioned that one actor cannot justify her mother's journey, which started at the age of 10. Mentioning how her mother, Saroj Khan started working as an assistant choreographer at the age of 17 and saw success in her mid-30s, Sukaina added that three actors would be required to portray her mother's journey.

Further, in the same conversation, Sukaina clarified that the makers will take the final call regarding the actors because she doesn't want to get involved in that. She added that she is happy that the makers are making a film and trying to portray the story of a legend like her mother. Sukaina also stated that she would like Madhuri Dixit to be part of her mother's biopic and show the later stages of her life. In her words:
"I would like Madhuri ma'am to be part of it, but she can probably show the latter stages of mom's life. For other two characters, we would need other actors. That's how I want her biopic to be. I have been very clear that I do not want to get into the casting process. I am just happy that they have decided to put out the story of a legend like her, who has done exceptionally well not just as a professional but also as a mother, a daughter and a grandmother."
